A busy and massive interchange in the heart of Bradford offering bus and train connections to destinations far and near.nnSome convenience stores inside too offering friendly servicennInformation centre and staff really friendlynnVery clean facility with good toilets, too.nnAll stands are equipped with real time information countdown screens and publicity for each operators services respectively.
Trains and buses together which should make getting about Bradford quite easy. It’s fairly close to the city centre which is all pedestrianised but I find it quite soulless.nEven though there are picnic benches on the approach and a display re City of Culture it’s not somewhere I would want to spend any time.nThe concourse is large with lots of information re the buses and trains on display; there’s also a Gregg’s which gets pretty busy.nOnce the many steps have been climbed and the railway platforms reached there’s a much more interesting vista with a serious amount of tubs and borders planted up in vivid hues.nTen months into the 2025 City of Culture and there was little information about events etc, no maps and no volunteers guiding visitors-Bradford has seriously missed a trick here, particularly as the Tourist Information has permanently closed and the ticket office for City of Culture doesn’t open until lunchtime.
I went here only to pick up and later drop off a couple of guests. For some absurd reason they've taken the car park out of use. For several years there was a 20-minute pickup/drop-off car park but in recent years they've been making it harder and harder to park, first replacing the parking spaces with enormous planters, and now closing it completely. Now you have to park on the main road and the passengers have to come all the way out of the station and cross that main road - not particularly helpful for people who find it difficult to walk. This is to say nothing of the labyrinthine route required to get to the station in the first place without accidentally straying into any of the umpteen bus lane traps that the council have laid for the unwary!
Bradford Interchange is indeed a transport hub. Well situated in the city center. The station was clean and easy to navigate, with plenty of seating available on both the platform and near the ticket office.nnAn Interchange for both buses and trains. The staff are always available to help and give directions. Bradford train station is nice, I described it as good and tidy, with a medium size that is quiet. It also offers many services, making it convenient for travelers.nnThe environment, buses and trains are very neat and tidy. There are cafeterias for light meals, snacks, and coffee. A lovely place.
This is quite an impressive train station. I like quite a number of things about it- from the design, to location and services. The environment is beautiful and gives you a beautiful view of, and introduction to the city of Bradford. While not as expansive as some others in the UK, the station caters to a significant number of train services and destinations. There are restrooms and cafes around the environment and public and private transport links to and from the station are plentiful. It also doubles as a Bus station
