We wanted our wedding to be local, Chorlton based and intimate. And the Bowling Green couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for our wedding reception!nnFrom start to finish, the experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day. The home-cooked food was absolutely delicious and plentiful!nA special thank you to Mark, the landlord and Liam, the bar manager who truly went above and beyond. They made the whole process of organising our wedding stress-free and enjoyable.nSeveral of our wedding guests also stayed in the rooms above the pub, and they couldn’t stop raving about how lovely and comfortable they were.nWe wouls highly recommend The Bowling Green for any occasion – they really made our wedding reception personalised, fun and unforgettable!nnWe love that we will walk past our wedding venue every day. A little bit of sunshine and this place was packed! Managed to find a table at the back, has a large outdoor area with an outside bar, and decided to try some food. Despite how busy it was, ordering food and drink was fast and efficient. I had the goats cheese burger and my fella went for the Cajun chicken. I must say his sweet potato fries were the best I have ever eaten, really crispy, they put my potato fries to shame. My burger came with a whopping thick slice of goats cheese on top! I had to move it off to the side and eat it as a separate side the food was surprisingly good!
We had a family function there yesterday, and I honestly couldn't fault it. From the initial contact with Mark, the landlord, the final preparations with Liam, the manager to the most fantastic function celebrating the life of my mum. Everyone who came had a great time!!nThe staff were exceptional and the buffets was one of the best I've had.nThank you so much.
Lovely stay at The Bowling Green. Rooms lovely and great selection of snacks and breakfast items. Location couldn’t be better. Thank you for a lovely stay and the person who checked us in is an absolute asset to you, couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful.
Booked the function room for a work reunion.nWhat a fabulous venue! Room was so welcoming and warm and set the scene. Room is accessible & has attached facilities, we were able to use the boombox to play our own music too. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. I can't recommend highly enough. Thank you Bowling Green for facilitating what was a great evening.nWill definitely book again
