Jewel in the crown of jazz. This little known venue attracts a small but faithful following not to mention the 'Pie Man' who visits most Tuesdays selling his home made pies. The music is easy in the ear with numerous guests dropping in to play drums , sax, guitar or to sing. Last Tuesday we had 4 drummers including Mike Rubery, Tommy Farnell, and 'Sir' Alan Buckley. Each Tuesday 8.30 - 11.00 with a core of 4 bands playing each month plus guests. Live music at its best presented by the versatile and amiable Jim Denham who plays drums and sings a mean time. If you like any firm of live music give it a try.
A great little bar to share a celebration with a few family and friends... highly recommend
Friendly local social club with a lovely outdoor space. Free Entertainment on every other week, posters are placed on the outside of building in the glass cabinets. A good selection of drinks with a Guest Ale on every week
Friendly welcoming great place to meet local people. Nice secret garden at the rear. Fab space for hire upstairs, ideal for parties and functions.jazz on some sundays... Jazz is getting better each visit on alternate Sundays in the rear lounge highly recommended

Joined my sister in law n husband for a drink at this club, they were celebrating 70th jubilee, most of the customers were bedecked in union flagged clothing, bunting and trimmings were put up, 50p off a pint, and a free cob with your first pint. Ad a really gud afternoon, very welcoming customers and staff, spotlessly clean facilities, and a lovely large beer garden for more sunny occasions, all in all well worth a visit, but you must have some one sign you in on reception if you not a member, at 50p each, not a deal breaker tho,
It's OK.. Drinks are very overpriced for a social club. Some staff members are a bit rude. I find it silly when attending a function in the upstairs room, that you can't buy drinks downstairs if you're a non member.. So if you're in the garden vaping or smoking you have to walk past the bar.. Which is just steps from the garden... Then all the way up two flights of stairs to the bar in the function room... Absolutely ridiculous!! The function room is nice once it's been spruced up though and the garden is a lovely addition... Keep your noise down though as the staff come over and shout at you to be quiet otherwise!!!!
Free entertainment every other weekend. Good selection of drinks, guest real ale Thursdays till barrel runs dry. Very competitive prices and plenty to do.
Always have our Christmas parties here. Reasonable prices and decent staff.
Quality place use it quite regular with my friend's lovely beer and the door man is a friendly chap to talk to always put a bottle in the fridge for him
