This is a superb venue. There's always something going on, including coffee mornings, pop-up cinema evenings, am-dram shows, live bands, etc. The bar area is comfortable and spacious, with a good selection of beverages. All amenities are clean and tidy. During warmer weather, there are a few tables outside. A public car park is directly adjacent to the centre, which is situated in the centre of the village. The staff are helpful, and in the foyer area, pamphlets are available advertising events at the community centre and wider area. It is possible to hire rooms of various sizes, depending on personal requirements. Kitchens are also available.
There's an excellent Repair Café here on the 3rd Saturday of most months not Dec or Jan. Coffee and biscuits while you wait, friendly chat while you watch your item being repaired where possible.
I have just discovered the monthly market in Bourne End and it was well worth a visit. When I visited in July there were 70 stalls inside and outside dogs are allowed - just not in the library area. There are toilets available and music was playing near the exit. Will be going again a next one is Saturday 10th August. There’s a car park adjacent with disabled parking but it fills up quick.
Great craft market run once a month with many sellers and different crafts plus food
Went to the monthly fair. Very Good.nGreat selection of both food and craft stalls, looks like more space for sellers...but still busy with plenty if stalls. Especially good not having duplicates of everything, will definitely be there again in the near future.
