October 2024nI had to have a molar extracted today and was very anxious about it. Prabpreet put me at ease straight away. Anaesthetic was excellent, numbing only the affected area rather than half my face. Everything was explained as we went, so no sudden surprises and no drama. I felt 100% safe throughoutnnFirst appointmentnOutstanding service all round. Receptionists were welcoming, the dental nurse was very kind and gentle and the dentist was so polite and clear describing my options. Highly recommend

This was my first experience moving from an NHS patient to a private patient having been with the practice for 30 plus years. I had booked my NHS appointment 12 months in advance but received an email on the 4th June saying the dentist was moving to private status and I needed to make up my mind whether I wanted to move to private status for my next appointment on the 22nd August. I would have expected, given my loyal service, to be asked about the change AFTER this next appointment, given the relatively short notice. As it had almost been a full year since my previous dentist appointment, I decided to attend the private dentist appointment. Upon arrival, I had to wait over 30 minutes past my appointment slot before I was seen by my dentist the longest I have ever had to wait - so much for increased efficiency, considering that I am now paying significantly morenfor a private appointment I would have expected a prompt, timely service. During the appointment, I was asked whether I had any issues, to which I stated that I did not, specifically there had been no issues with my two broken teeth. The dentist then offered a half crown on one of these broken teeth, even though I said I had no issues but i said I did not want to incur expense. My teeth were checked one by one, fair enough. Air was then puffed in to four areas where the dentist thought I would have sensitivity but I did not. He then decided I needed x-rays as I had not had them for a long time I was not sure about this, as a result of this, he decided that I needed a filling. He showed me where the issue was, but to my eyes I struggled to see the difference between the problem area and a close-by nerve - but I felt like I had to accept the expertise!! By the time the appointment was finished, the dentist had spent 13 minutes longer than my previous normal NHS appointment with him if I was cynical I would say that the only reason for this is that it felt like the dentist was looking for something extra to charge me with but this is only my perspective and as such maybe unfair. After the appointment was finished, I went to pay at reception and book my next appointment where the receptionist stated that I had to pay £50 upfront as a deposit for the filling procedure again why would you do this for a loyal customer who has always paid on time and attended every appointment?. Additionally, it was interesting my next appointment would also include a scrape and polish at £45 which had not been mentioned by the dentist. I decided to stall on booking an appointment and to consider my future options. A very dissatisfied customer!
I have been attending this dentist since a child for 23 years and I am saddened to say that the service post-COVID of this practice has become beyond poor. I recently attended a routine NHS check-up appointment at this practice. I was forced to wait for well over 30 minutes past my appointment time, wherein I was given no warning/text message that the wait would be this long. After such a long wait, I was seen by my dentist who asked if I was experiencing any issues - I mentioned that I had some tartar build up on my newly-appeared wisdom teeth. My dentist spent all of 30 seconds looking at my teeth - only calling out a total of 4 codes for my teeth pre-COVID this was done for each tooth in turn. He then proceeded to remove some of the tartar from my wisdoms - all in all, this appointment lasted for 2 minutes pre-COVID the appointment time was ~15 minutes and cost £26. When I looked at my teeth afterwards, I noticed that not even half of the tartar had been removed and my dentist had made no comment about a small hole that was starting to appear in one of my teeth. As a student, it is hard to fund such expensive, but necessary health check-ups, so it is particularly dis-heartening that after having a two-minutes appointment, where I feel like my teeth were not examined properly, I still have to pay such a steep cost.
Best dentist we've been to ever!! Reception staff are lovely and helpful. My 14yr old son had his first treatment ever. Navesh was so good with him, kind, patient, gentle and explained everything as he went along, putting my son at ease. Would definitely recommend
