Boscombe Pier is beautiful to visit and hang out for the day. They have a Mini Golf on the Pier with eco friendly golf balls - so when you get to the last hole, it plops in the water and feeds the fish! There's interesting musical instruments to have fun with as well. The ice cream stand and fast food stand does well there. You MUST try the Honeycomb flavour! And The Harvester Restaurant, right at the entrance is awesome! Their food is always fresh and delicious with good and friendly service.
This is a local institution, very hard to walk past the smell of coffee and cakes. Amazing views! Can be busy but it’s open 7-9 7 days a week from spring to autumn and still open 7 days during winter but closes a little earlier.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
We have visited this place before but during a summer, this time it was dull and wet so although we enjoyed the stroll it wasn't very welcoming. But we did get to see the spectacle of quite a few brave souls going for a Christmas Day dip in the sea, many dressed as Father Christmas, and all for charity. We braved the rain for a while watching the none Father Christmas's also taking a dip then decided enough was enough and headed back to our hotel, not a lot more that I could add really.
Beautiful beach with sand. Didn't find it busy at all probably because we went on a weekday. Best experience for the kids. The weather was perfect. We had a great time and we will be coming back.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Boscombe Pier and beach is one of my favourite places to go to relax. The fact you can park pretty much right on the promenade so close to the beach is a huge bonus, as you can just sit in the car and watch the waves if it's a bit chilly or wet. It's quieter during the winter months, but it's still a lovely place to be, and during the summer it gets quite busy, but the evening vibe is so relaxed. There is an American style diner here, and a Harvester just the other side of the pier as well, plus toilets, so pretty much everything you need. You can walk to Bournemouth from here easily, it's about a mile between each pier and is completely flat. This beach has lovely golden sands and during the summer isn't as busy as the main Bournemouth beach which is nice. There is also another car park just up the hill 2 mins away, so access to the beach is easier for those with children or disabilities as you can park much closer to the beach than in Bournemouth. This is a hidden gem that not everyone knows about, so if you're thinking of visiting Bournemouth, give Boscombe beach a try, you won't be disappointed.
Really lovely pier to take a walk and enjoy the sea. We were lucky it was so sunny. Looking back you have a nice view of the beach. It’s got little games and musical instruments to play as you walk along.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great beach, pier is just a wooden boardwalk but a variety of cafes and toilets available. BBQ are allowed past 6pm. Great cycling experience. Parking is charged down the beach and limited time entry/exit. So I knocked off a star.
Great few days spent relaxing with my 2 youngest children. I took a lovely early morning stroll along the beach. Clean & Well maintained beach/pier. Magic .Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Really nice to have a walk along, really liked the idea of the music bells going along the pier. Unfortunately for those looking to use the bells, a lot of the paddles/ sticks are missing. It was really nice to walk along the pier and just take in the viewsVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful Pier with an interesting crazy eco friendly crazy golf course on it. Also enjoyed playing some musical instruments, although some of them weren't in working condition. It's a beautiful place for some photography and to see the sunset.
