I went to the optician in boots in an emergency, half an hour before closing time, because no optometrist in the city center were able to examine my eyes. Mandy went out of her way to get me help, and her support is invaluable.  I would also like to thank the optician Neelam Misra, who stayed longer at work especially for me, made an accurate diagnosis, and then sent me to the hospital very quickly. Thanks to these two ladies, I'm able to recover quickly.
Surprised by some reviews saying they went out of their way to help. There was no flexibility for me who turned up late 9 months pregnant and stuck in Bradford rush hour. I wasn’t justifying my lateness but was hoping for some consideration. Took my 10 year old after school 4pm to have his eyes tested recommended by the dr explained he was suffering from headaches and so it was urgent and apologised for the lateness. It was a 25min appointment, Neelam Misra's next appointment had already turned up before us so I was willing to wait but she didn’t want the pressure? So we were turned away. Unsure why the next appointment hadn’t gone in seeing she refused to see us? I have known opticians to see patients who have come through late and so expected some flexibility seeing it was a child suffering. I now understand why they’re the only ones available for appointments on the same day. Won’t be booking with them again as I would struggle to trust the care.
The only helpful person there is Mandy. I remember Mandy from D&A days when boots took over. I have been numerous times to this branch and the wait times are ridiculous even when your appointment is at 9.00 am you are waiting 15minutes to be seen. I have been trying to book an appointment for 2 weeks now and can’t get through. The line cuts off. This means I now have to personally go down to the store which is very inconvenient.
Had an appointment at 4:15pm. I got stuck in roadworks on my way and called at 3:55pm to say I would be 10 - 15 mins late and apologise profusely. The staff member told me it was OK as I was the last appointment of the day. I said I'd be there as soon as I could be. Arrived at 4:32pm to be told the opticians had left and I'd have to rebook. Left work early, sat in traffic for an hour, paid for parking, wasted my time. Will not be back.
Appalling. My glasses were old tired and falling apart, Booked myself in for a glasses appointment got told that I am NOT entitled to a new pair because my vision has not changed after 10 years, Showed my glasses that need replacing said they were fine and to continue wearing them, The manager was rude and arrogant his manner in speaking to patients was appaling and lied about not having an appointment avaliable , have changed opticians.....
The whole optical team at Boots Broadway is exceptional. Sobia, Hamza, Bilal, Saqib, Zara, Mandy, all of them infact are so kind and polite. They all go out of their way to help my family and I. We have been to lots of other opticians and the staff and service here truly is outstanding. Huge thank you to all the team!
Optician was excellent, chose glasses but they do not fit. My son took me back and they were adjusted which seemed better, but they slide down my nose leaving indentations. The after service is not good. Have reverted to my old specs and these are fine.
Had free contact lens trial. Didn't proceed because caused severe headaches. But still they take £30 out of my bank via direct debit. Out of order, I never agreed to this. wont be using again. So people be careful what your signing for, because they are devious.
I was well served by Emma Jane and her colleagues for an eye test. I was asked to fill out the online survey. No problem. Then it comes to a question I don't want to answer. "This is mandatory" they say. No it isn't. I cancel survey. I will not be told.
Amazing service today when I took my 3 year old for some glasses. The guy serving us was fantastic with my son who was very nervous and even went in the back and got him a sticker. Thank you
