Excellent customer service, really friendly and efficient. I was advised straight away that there'd be a little delay to be seen as they were running behind. The optometrist asked me the right questions to diagnose severe dry eyes, and advised on the best drops to take for them. He also made me aware of the nature of the condition, provided me with a handy leaflet and explained the risks. The staff in this store are always so competent and so so welcoming. Never any issues, so accommodating and again, great staff.
Got the impression everything was a bit chaotic. The person who served me was friendly enough, the optician not so much. Occular photography was completed after the eyetest when it should have been before, and no feedback given on the results; pricing of 'add-ons' not clear at all. Just not as good as my first visit a few years ago
Absolute shambles of a store. Booked a contact lense trial, and an eye test. At the 2nd appointment after the lenses arrived in store they were running 30 minutes late. The new lenses gave me double vision so the optometrist said they'd order alternatives, but I should try and let these settle. So a week goes by, I call, I get told by the young lad I'll get a call back to let me know if they're in etc. No call back. So I call up, ask if they're in and they say they'll call me back... They call me back and tell me Ibhad an appointment yesterday, but of course they'd not called me back. Roll on another week, no messages or emails but apparently they called me to say the lenses are in. So I asked if I can collect, nope you need an optometris appointment, and of course nothing on the day. So given it'll be 4 weeks since the initial appointment, I've told them to leave it. Of course the person on the phone wasn't particularly bothered. Generally speaking just stay away from this store. You're a number not a person or a customer.
Very friendly atmosphere, staff is polite and attentive to the details. Doctor from Bangladesh is professional and good with kids, my 9yo daughter enjoyed it there even though it was her first time eyes checking with all the machines and stuff. Thank you
The staff I had no problems with they were attentive and knowledgeable. The problem came when I asked how much would a set of lenses be in existing frames and I quoted £260 as a ball park figure !!! I feel that is far in excess of what the price should be and the man who gave me the price I thought had no interest as I wasn't going to buy your frames. He & You should be ashamed of yourselves, it started off so well but I won't be going back poor customer service .... by the way the girl was lovely
I recently had an eye test and contact lens test at Boots Opticians Birkenhead. The service was excellent and was not rushed. The staff and manager were friendly, professional and knowledgeable and provided advice regarding my prescription, types of lenses available, and frames. Well done Boots.
Most staff were lovely and helpful. I have attended 5 times recently. The optician was quite rude and abrupt in her manner. She took my lenses out for me. I was trialing lenses. My vision was very blurred for the rest of the day. I found it quite stressful and upsetting. I realised in the evening 1 contact lens had been left in! I have never been able to take a lens out myself. Eventually my husband got it out. It was not a good experience. I feel I will not be returning to boots. I need new glasses as contacts not for me.
I was 15 minutes late for my appointment and they refused to test my eyes. I was polite apologetic and explained the taxi dropped me off in the wrong place and I struggled to find it. I needed glasses ASAP due my only pair breaking and going abroad for a work conference. The receptionist was polite but the opthalmologist refused to see me.
The service I received was excellent. Within one hour of leaving me check up I received a phone call from St. George's opthalmology to arrange an appointment for a second opinion on my eye health and this was all down to the professionalism of the option on duty yesterday.
The blonde, old staff member female, sucks a lemon, overdoneake up, thinks she is better than everyone else who looks down on you and speaks to you as if she is superior has made me take the decision to remove myself, husband and children from your customer books! Each time I am in with a child for an appointment she looks and talks to you like dirt off her shoe... she once tried to charge me for a child's glasses problem until I challenged her again and again. Once I mentioned reporting her, her attitude completely changed and agreed i was right . Yesterday she passed comment publicly infront of staff and 3 customers her thoughts on my parenting skills and children, one being autistic with tourettes and getting very stressed at waiting around and how she looked at him! She did not realise I was sat behind her when she said this. Other staff members, waited for her to be out of the way to apologise to me. I got put as quickly as I could and will be taking my families custom elsewhere! As this complaint won't go anywhere really will it?
