Decent sized store. Can sometimes be busy for prescription medicine. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Own brand or limited choice for toiletries in some categories e.g. pre-shave, deodorants etc.

Went in after work today to do some shopping and relieve some stress. Was all going fine; I was browsing the products to see what kind of things were on offer and buy the best quality and value products. As it states on here, the shop closes at 5:30, however it seemed a lot of staff were leaving at just gone 5pm. I overheard the two lads working in the general shop area saying about how they wanted to go home and one mentioned about me still being there and came a peeped into the aisle I was in, and the other lad said something along the lines of "Seriously? She's still here?" Which I found highly unprofessional and unpleasant. Not a great customer service attitude. If they were closing at 5pm instead of the stated 5:30pm, I would expect a polite notice that this was the case. I work in a secondary school and it felt like I was still there. The lads were chatting and laughing loudly around the shop - I had first mistaken them for kids from the local school, until I looked up and saw they worked for Boots. I have previously had no problems with this shop and staff used to be lovely. I'm not encouraged to revisit this store after this experience. It was not a friendly or welcoming.
