Really lovely restaurant! Great service. Food delivered within half an hour! Kind staff and wonderful food. Good value for money. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. One of the best curries I have ever had! 100% recommend. Thank you for a great personal experience and wonder food :-
After waiting over an hour for a food to arrive we we were starting to get impatient but the guy reassured us our food was on its way. Food came out in dribs and drabs by a lady that didn't speak a single word, heck she didn't even smile! However when we finally got to taste the food we were blown away, it was absolutely outstanding and well worth the wait. I will most definitely be returning, be prepared to wait an hour for food and will try and get a smile out of the waitress!
Was looking forward to visiting on our second night stay close by, the restaurant was empty and we had a table straight away, popadums were offered with dips that were already on the table and looked like had been a long time. food came within 10 mins of ordering and definitely was not made fresh and just warmed up, cannot say I enjoyed any of it not the waitress lurking around not the food, the atmosphere or the service charge..£64 later we are not feeling well and just not happy we choose to go there.
Phoned last minute and we were able to be squeezed in at 545. The restaurant was quiet whilst we were there so not sure why we were being “squeezed in” Great food but there was something missing from the whole experience. The owner / chef wasn’t that friendly and seemed flustered. The bill seemed a bit expensive £75 for 2 adults and 1 child - 1 drink each. That aside, I would go back. Cash / Bank Transfer only.
A warning to start they only accept payment in cash. They don't accept any debit or credit cards. Externally this place is let down by a rather dull and slightly tatty appearance but get through the doors! Internally the décor is beautiful, bright and warming. A very warm welcome awaits you. This was quite busy for a Wednesday night near to the end of October, especially in a semi-holiday town where many pubs, cafés and restaurants are reducing their hours of opening or close down to hibernate altogether. We were met with a lovely welcome and given our choice of table. We had very good quality service, even to having an extra complimentary popadum added. Overall food quality was extremely high and waiting time was minimal. Unfortunately the music sound-track became boringly and annoyingly repetitive. The yuck factor arrives with a visit to the toilets - suffice it to say they need to be vastly improved! Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Bombay Joes and recommend that it should be given a try. P.S. we have seen many reviews about this place especially over problems with take-out meals - whilst in the restaurant we asked for a glass of ice and were served a dish of pillau rice.
Went there with my family for my son’s birthday. We hadn’t booked but they were very accommodating. Food was lovely and the owner really cared about customer service and spent time with us. Would 100% recommend.
A truly splendid experience. Myself and 7 of my chums have been blessed enough to return to Bombay Joe’s year on year, during our annual expedition to Wales. The food is up there with some of the most spectacular Indian cuisine my tastebuds have ever touched. Would HIGHLY recommend; well priced too.
Very nice establishment with excellent food and choice of curries. We were a party of 5 on holiday in the area. The owner could have been more friendly, he appeared a little suspicious about us and insisted we only payed in cash instead of card payment. I felt he has maybe been robbed where someone has not payed their bill or used fake card payments, there was definitely something that made him distrust us, which is sad & wrong if that is the case. However the food was delicious and presented well. A 10% service charge was added on which we didn't mind paying because the food was excellent.
Bombay Joes is a magnificent establishment i would recommend to anyone. The staff are friendly and the food is lovely and there is a great variety of options available on the menu. Will definitely be returning, hoping that our group photo makes it on the wall! :
I went to Bombay Joe's on a very quiet Sunday evening. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. There's a wide variety of items on the menu and a well stocked bar, though I only had a coke.
