The shore is a beautiful place when the weather is nice. Free car parking and you can take a walk along the coast line in either direction, towards Hest Bank or you can drop by Bay View Garden centre. This is also a fab place to catch the sun setting in the evening, over the water and with the Lake District in sight.
Elver-Tidal-Flaps on the shore. Good interpretation signs to explain their ecological importance
A tranquil place to get out of the way for a couple of hours. A place to stretch your legs, enjoy nature. The café was of course closed because of lockdown, but the view and unspoilt atmosphere is all you need.

Walking on the shore, tide in gently breeze and blue sky, clear view of the Lake District and surrounding hills. Restorative!!
