We paid for a sea side apartment it was not cheap, in fact we thought we paid for one of the more expensive accommodations. When we arrived the staff were friendly enough which was a nice start. When we eventually found our apartment, it was pretty shabby. We was not expecting the Ritz or anything close, but we were hoping it was hygienic and clean. There was no baking trays so when we bought pizza and ribs for dinner we found it tricky to cook. The apartment just needed a deep clean, it was clean on the surface but just don't look too closely it will make you feel a little uncomfortable. The bed was lumpy and sleep was not sweet. To their credit, they had someone come and clean during our visit and refresh the towels. The swimming pool was fun and the kids really enjoyed the slides, the changing rooms... Sorry again don't look too closely. I am not a clean freak, but do like things hygienic. Overall the staff were friendly and happy to help. Final words would be, a friendly place to stay but they really need a overhaul with their apartments, we will be going back to Haven next year.
What a weekend! I don't normally leave reviews but I have honestly had such an amazing experience that it needs mentioning. Originally I was booking for 36 people. There was cancellation, room upgrades, brunches , spas and dining. They have been so patient and helpful with all the changes, incredibly understanding and kind on the phone. Booking and checking in, all staff were impeccable. The actual experience of being there , I have never danced and laughed so much in my life! You couldn't go hungry if you tried and all the food was so good! The rest of the crowd were all such a good bunch , everyone was just there to have a good old boogie. The atmosphere was amazing! Freddie Mercury at the bingo was hilarious and I would come back for him if nothing else. Thank you Everything was spot on ! Absolutely no complaints. Thank you for a wicked weekend !
Adult only weekends are awesome, great entertainment and a variety of shows. Lots of activities available on site during the day like bars, bowling, swimming, arcades etc. Various food outlets and a convenience store on site. Staff on site friendly and helpful. Rooms in the chalets however are very basic and outdated and not very clean. Food in The Deck pretty decent. Located right on the beach and a short walking distance from town. Overall worth the prices and will be returning.
Went for a Soul weekender which are always great fun. The Silver room accommodation wasn't up to standard because the door handle came off in the bathroom. However, the room was warm, clean and comfortable. No towels available which panicked me slightly, but thankfully there were towels available on hire. Great buffet breakfast with full English and continental. Reasonable drink prices.
Had an amazing weekend here for Mighty Hoopla. The staff were great and everyone made sure that we were well looked after. Lots of staff on the bars, which made the busiest times not too bad to cope with. The breakfast in the hotel was exceptional value at just £7! The whole event was well organised and it was clear, that the team had worked hard. A huge round of applause too, for the housekeepers who would have had so much glitter to hoover up! Good location, rooms were value for money and I would recommend a visit.
Had a great time here on an adults weekend. Apartment was clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. Heating wasn't working in our living room, as soon as we reported it they fixed it very promptly. Lots of bands and singers, great atmosphere. Everyone just wants to listen and dance to the music, have a few drinks and be silly!!! Been 4 times, I would highly recommend this place, its great fun. Just by the beach and shops. If you haven't been before go it's awesome
We booked a themed room in the Wave. Good rooms Lots of activities for kids to do. Indoor as well as outdoor activities. The pool is indoor & and heated, which makes it suitable for cold weather. Please carry cash when going as the ATM withdrawal charges every withdrawal on site. Cash is required at quite a few rides if not booked in advance. Good for 2 days & shows in Studio 36 are good
Overall a great weekend. Beds in the wave hotel are rock solid however, premier Inn beds are far superior. Food plan was good value and the staff were working hard to accommodate. Shows were good but drinks prices have shot up, might account for why the entertainment venues were nowhere near full.Rooms: 4/5
An excellent place to take your children to entertain them. So much is included in the price you pay. There are additional activities you can pay for, though the shows, fair rides and swimming pool will keep you busy. Also a good range of restaurants will meet most peoples needs, or if you book a chalet with a kitchen you can cater for yourself. The place is not too large and easy to walk around, just need to get your bearings on the first day. In the bar areas it's possible to order drinks to your table through an app so no queuing or leaving your group to get a round in. The quality of the shows was very good, more than Redcoats putting on a show as part of their day job. Would recommend and will be returning in the future.
The accommodation was horrendous. Filthly room, food in the oven, disgusting carpets, unsafe radiators toddlers can touch and outside the apartment there was broken glass rubbish and toilet roll everywhere. Dangerous metal stairs to reach apartment with a push chair the building also appears to be falling to pieces with rotten wood everywhere. In fact not just the apartment building, the whole report looks like it's desperately lacking any maintenance. The inside of the roof of the skyline and arcade carpets barely being held together with duck tape. There was limited accommodation availability therefore we had no choice and had to book this apartment type standard apartment but 100% we would not have stayed there or even booked at all if we knew how bad it was going to be. We were able to change room which was only half as bad but the lady of the front desk of Wave Hotel was horrendous as well. Even your own staff that felt sorry for us and our children thought she was rude. Our toddler has come home sick from our break, which we get children share their bugs but he has oral thrush which we can only put down to poor hygiene, likely in the restaurant. High chairs in the restaurant were not cleaned once while we were there, we wiped them ourselves with our own antibacterial wipes I assume you won't want to see those photos, not pretty I'm summary, everything massively lacks cleanliness and maintenance, unfortunately we won't rush to come again. Entertainment very good, shows amazing, action packed.
