Went to enquire about membership. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Decided to become a member. Will post later when I've used the facilities. Hopefully it will be enjoyable
It's OK staff seem fine sanitisers empty paper towels empty shower gel empty poor changing facilities good gym equipment poor it seems to for gender and fisability
i left because the equipment was old and rusty, everything was old and tired, Absolute joke i wanted to cancel my gym membership so i sent an email in to the email address that was given over the phone they gave it me incorrectly wasn't till i checked id still been paying over 18 months paying membership i called up they said they hadn't received the email so i checked and found out it was wrong i haven't used the gym once within the time i thought i'd cancelled and forwarded the email to show them and they wouldn't issue me a refund

Love hellaby Hall. I just don't go as often as I should do to make use if the fantastic facilities they offer. The spa is wonderful and the beauty treatments amazing and value for money. Staff are great and helpful and it feels like you are having a lovely little spa day when really just at the gym
Just rejoined after 5 years of busy worklife so need all the support I can get to pull back to fitness. The staff are helpful, friendly and supportive and in my view the gym is super clean, to the point that some of the equipment is suffering from the amount of sanitiser used after each persons workout. The pool is my favourite area - good size and also has a sauna and steam room. If you're looking for somewhere that doesn't make you feel awkward, where a none glam body is as accepted as anyone else, I think you'll feel comfortable here and will be very well supported with any fitness goals you want to acheive.
Some of the staff have a terrible attitude, especially when they start cleaning up around the pool 20-30 minutes before closing time and make members leave 15 minutes before closing!
NOT A NICE PLACE TO BE. the place has changed its like they no longer want the average person there. I'm 18 stone a bit chunky and that's what you go to a gym for but the new staff look down there nose at you if you do not fit to there NEW image they are trying to get i feel uncomfortable there now. its a shame because this place used to be such a great place. a lot of staff have changed and the whole atmosphere of the place has gone. I here there are new owners and a new manager really don't like what they are trying to do. gyms should be for normal people as well as fitness freaks don't push us out because we don't look the part.. on a plus side the pool is great and love the new sauna and steam room.
Great gym, not the most modern but everything you need, great staff and no hanging about for equipment, plenty of equipment and space.
