Went to the surgery at Amlwch, Andrew the vet was ever so professional but approachable and friendly. Really listened to what Bert, Stanley and Beti needed. Couldn’t have asked for more. Best vets on the island
Great visit with the vet in Amlwch kind and gentle with my 15 yr old cat
I don't usually leave negative reviews but this surgery isn't operated in the best way by any stretch of the imagination. There have been several hiccups, and twice we have had to wait for the vet to actually arrive. The last time we had a cat booked in for an allergy injection, they'd even run out of stock when we arrived for the appointment. Today we thought we were taking our cat to Amlwch for his usual injection, because I had phoned the Amlwch number to make the appointment, only to find it was shut... and that we were supposed to be taking him to Mona - except that no-one told us that. When I phoned to ask what was going on, the lady said, "well, we do answer the phone as Mona veterinary surgery", but I believe when I made the appointment that it was Amlwch surgery I called, and they didn't tell me to go to Mona. And a friend of mine went in once to enquire about having her dog neutered, only to find two women eating pot noodles behind the counter, and she said the whole place stunk, which I can imagine because it is cramped and airless. The vets are nice, although we have had to repeat the cat's history each time we attend, rather than them referring to his records. I don't know... it just isn't an easy process.
