Story

We are situated in the small village of Whaplode St. Catherines, near Spalding, Lincolnshire. We have built up an unrivalled reputation for providing a great dining experience. A cosy country pub with two dining areas, one 24 seater, the other 40, create a perfect setting for that special occasion or just to enjoy great food or a drink in a warm atmosphere. Our extensive menu has something for everyone, including a large choice of homemade vegetarian options. The night can be topped off by our famous pudding board.

We take pride in our customer service and will decorate your table relevant to your occasion, therefore making it a meal to remember for Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas or Valentine's Day celebrations. Just spent the bank holiday weekend at this lovely pub/restaurant on one of their caravan pitches. Beautiful quiet site, peaceful setting in the Lincolnshire countryside. Our host John was very friendly and the staff were very attentive when we sat down to eat on Sunday night. The food is amazing!!! The pitches (all 5 of them) are spacious with plenty of room for an awning. The pitches are very level and spaced apart so you don't feel crowded. I would highly recommend this certified site to anyone looking for peace and quiet (adults only) a lovely pub next to the site with fantastic food and great service with a smile!

A fabulous pub and restaurant. Very comfortable, family friendly pub owned and run by a unique landlord and landlady. The restaurant is spacious, a pleasant setting to enjoy quality, seasonal home cooked food. Also a clean and tidy field for caravans. You may enter as a stranger but you'll leave as a friend.

Well all I can say is that this was amazing place to visit for food this evening 10/10. This pub, restaurant was old school, log fires cozy seating ( Chesterfield sofa ) great atmosphere bar and friendly staff meeting from the get go , thank you John the owner for a warm welcome from him as my mother in law is in a wheelchair opened the door and greeted with a smile. A* star food absolutely delicious full of flavour and dessert to die for. Facilities where lovely disabled toilets and baby changing clean and smelled fresh check the photo of the men's loo what a surprise to see a cool piece of engineering and the use of kegs . Highly recommended even great if you have young children . Thanks John see you soon.

A little piece of heaven Stayed on this site for 3 nights in August for the Bank holiday weekend. The pub landlord John and his wife were perfect hosts, we were made so welcome and thank them for their hospitality. The pub and the food were wonderful, we ate in the pub every night and have to say the food was excellent. We will definitely return next season, although the site is open all year, so who knows if we get the chance may return before next year. The site was fantastically maintained and was exceptionally clean. Open views to the rear and front, with the pub to one side with a lovely enclosed beer garden. Thank you again and hope to see you soon.

Just spent Easter Weekend here and tho weather has not been good we still have had yet another great time . Good pitches John and team are great . Food and beers are excellent .... we will be back
