Now operating again under new proprietorship and renamed as Arcade Food and Coffee, this is a welcoming and friendly cafe where one can take just a quick drink or if one is feeling a bit hungry, a light meal and away from traffic noise and smells.  Also, as it's situated within the lovely Victorian Byram Arcade there is the bonus of being under cover if the weather is inclement.  Of special note too is it is a dog friendly cafe, both within and in the arcade part too, a rare feature for those who may wish to have their canine companion with them.  It's not ultra posh. It's just a pleasant and friendly place to be for good wholesome fare.

Since the Blue Rooms changed hands in 2013 the food and service is second to none!  I make a point of going in at least once a week and sampling from the specials board or from the extensive regular menu. Even as a confirmed carnivore I often find myself choosing the vegetarian option as they are equally delicious!  The staff are all very friendly and really look after you, without being in-your-face or pushy. Also Emma makes the best hot chocolates in Huddersfield!  I also love the 'Blue Bar' on Friday and Saturday evenings, it is a fantastic place to get a drink and relax. They often have fantastic events on too!

We're regulars here. Breakfasts are superb quality and a good price warning - the Full English is huge, I normally have the Half English and it's plenty, coffee is frankly wonderful and consistent every time. The service is warm and friendly with a quirky sense of humour that won't appeal to all, but I really like it.  Great place to relax.

The food was lovely - pity about the service by one particular member of staff.  I visited on 19/10/13 with my daughter and some friends, whilst I went to park my car my daughter placed the food order, she misheared the person in question and ordered a hallumi burger thinking it was vegetarian, she quickly realised her mistake and changed the order, to which she got a rather unpleasant response from the short haired girl.  I requested some more drinks to go with our food and didn't receive them and then my daughter once again apologised for her earlier misunderstanding to which the reply came "yeah, well I forgot to tell the kitchen so I've just been beaten about the head" - i wanted to complain there and then, but the girls wouldn't allow me to.......suffice it to say that the poor service let down what is in fact good food and we shan't be visiting again and will also let others know

New name now but still an excellent location, great food and coffee and staff very helpful.

Went in yesterday at about 2/3 they came up to us told us there was no potatoes, panini bread, one bowl of chips left so awe asked for wraps. one came back saying there was no bacon for the wrap. the food standards were beyond poor the food was freezing  and they kept pressuring us to leave by persturing in asking if we had finnished. would never go again no wonder it was quiet.

Thank you we had a wonderful time! Food delicious. Prices beyond reasonable. I have been raving about this place.  Excellent service, we love the staff. Great vibes. We will be back soon. Keep up the good work.  Jane

I never knew about this place 2 months ago, I go in nearly every day now as the food is awesome and the staff are very friendly! I recommend you try this place if you haven't already!
