A vast difference on cleanliness as compared of previous visits, I had a warm welcome, my room was fresh, the sheets and the pillow cases were crisp meaning, the towel melt my heart it was awesome, the walls were clean as well as the kettle and cups, the bathroom was very clean and the mirrors too...I think those who have visited this place from February are seeing a change. Thank you staff you trying hard to address the concerns of your clients and up grading the place to be habitable enough. Rooms: Clean and spacious Nearby activities: Not sure Safety: Yes,cameras around the place Walkability: Food outlets nearby
We needed accommodation for a night or two due to house renovations and central heating issues. A quick google search recommended Booking. com, who in turn pointed us in the direction of Hotel Rafiya in Redditch. The Hotel is set back off the main road nestled in its well laid out gardens with ample secure parking. At the reception I was greeted by Max, the proprietor he was both cheerful and helpful. He explained the protocol with registering my reg number on the parking system and directed us to our room and en-suite. A short journey to the first floor room brought a smile on our faces as the pre heated room was both warm and welcoming. Fresh, clean bedding on top of a memory foam mattress, deep pile carpet and designer wall covering created a feel of luxury. Pic Beneath the window was a large flat screen, multi channeled TV on top of a spacious work top. pic Tea & coffee, sugar, milk and mugs plus ample power points were at hand for my phone and laptop. Pic The bathroom was clean and consisted of shower, bath and toilet. Freshly washed bath and hand towels accompanied soap, shampoo, toilet roll and shower jell. Our stay was pleasant, the staff friendly and conditions fantastic I’d give 4/5. Tony Mclarty Rooms: See above comments
Absolutely horrendous experience. I got there late and it was a late booking. Poor lighting and very shabby area, looked a bit like a scrap yard. Had to sign something to say I wouldn't break anything or take drugs. I was terrified I'd never be seen again!! Big scary guy with questionable gold teeth 'helped' me with the room. He gave me a key card then come running out to say there was someone already in that room. Next key card opened to a dirty room, hadn't been cleaned. 3rd and 4th rooms hadn't been cleaned. By now I really wished I'd booked a travel lodge. If it wasn't so late and I hadn't already paid, I would had scarpered. Got in the room, locked the door put a chair against it . Then looked around. The room smelled horrible, old and mouldy. Was very noticeable. Looked newly decorated and new carpet not hoovered though so where was the smell coming from?? The bed was clean only reason I stayed and the room was nice and warm. But oh my god was like lying on a straw bale. It made a funny noise when I pushed myself up using my elbow. I think it was a brothel or drugs den with all the comings and goings no pun intended Guy next door slammed his door every time he went out. And the bloody road was so noisy all night. The room had no soundproofing. The sink had four or five long cracks but the silicone was newly done. This was the reason I didn't use it. Remember what I had to sign! I thought I would catch legionella if I put the shower on see photo Shower area manky see photo Thing the television was on was dirty. See photo One cup with all the sachets in, so when I emptied it, the sugar went all over. The bin had no liner in and wasn't clean. See photo I was so scared I sent the address to my husband in case I went missing. Hence I left at 7 am when it was light and ran for my Life to continue with my journey with about two hours sleep There was a mildewy van and old ice-cream van in the car park. When I was in 'bed' I googled the reviews. When I booked it had a 4 star rating. Well Graham did most of the reviews. With a few other guys thrown in. The genuine reviews are equally terrible. If you take anything from this, it's do not stay here and read the reviews properly Noteworthy details: Do not stay here....
The cleaner stole my purse I left behind. I know this bcause the last place I use or saw my purse was at your hotel. Today I received an authenticator notification from my monzo app for £75 spend at JD sports. It's embarrassing implying thrives never mind ones that lie. Good job I had secondary authentication on. Also I got fasley accused for bleeding on bedding when. I literally cannot bleed at all. Hysterectomy. I ha e them been charged 140 pound for two nights, then 79 pound for one night then 80 pound for the next night plus dog charges. And a random 30 pound charge for hotel raffia. Trying to take the liberties out of a woman with learning difficulties is despicable. Your o line prices quote half of what you ja e been charging me. And each night different than at a later date I get random charges for nothing from your hotel, it has never been a hotel it's barely a hostel. No TV, no heat, no toilet roll, no milk, no sugar, thinking it's ok to take the Micky out of a disabled woman with several bones brokn in her leg and ankle and a boyfriend with multiple sclerosis is just. I don't ha e the words for what you are. There is mold everywhere, every smells of urine or semen and the cleaning staff stole my purse and bank card. Disgusting.
DO NOT FALL FOR IT. Worst place ive ever been in my life honestly god knows how this place is still running, hell itself is better, owner is rude and disrespectful and thinks he knows it all, the rooms are disgusting we changed rooms numerous times and it wasnt getting any better, hairs everywhere, thick dust on all skirting boards, urine and blood in the bathroom, rubbish and stains up the walls and the smells horrendous, its sickening its like something off a horror film if not worse, 100% needs looking into by health inspectors its a danger to health me and my partner was shortly ill after staying there which says it all, rooms are falsely advertised when u arrive its nothing like what it is on the pictures dont have a clue how they get away with it definately needs looking into. this place needs shutting down absolutely disgusting worst place on earth.
worse hotel i have ever used !!!! that's not even the joke of it !!!!! as you can see we tried to contact the hotel reception and the emergency contact number and yet no one answered . see picture thats without my dad or my girlfriend calling checked out from 10am , left a bag in room and needed to be on train back home for 10:30 . obvs I missed my train but I wasn't the only one who was having problems with the hotel either . there was a guy who was waiting to pay for his room and another guy who had been locked out of his room since 10am . managed to get the bag at 2pm but both people was still waiting for owner or anyone who HAD worked at the hotel . owner had left the hotel at 7am , left his dog inside the restaurant which i left at 2pm after getting the bag and he was still in there .... so no I wouldn't recommended it
Such a bas experience for me my wife and a two month old baby. Booked a room in icy cold weather came a long way from Plymouth had no chance to go back just stayed my worst night in this place called Hotel , first the reception i had to wait for more than 20 minutes just to see someone to get my room key he came out and laughed when i said i was there ringing the bell for 20 minutes. Got the card key and went out to the room without clean sheets and a clean floor. Bathroom was okay but no hot water all the time . I had bad experience with other hotels before but never tried to leave a review but this one i hope that everyone see the reviews and never book room from place like that I smelled weed so it must be used for growing I assume cus the smell was so strong and stayed all night. I do not recommend this to anyone and i never go back there again
Left my bag in the room, went to find someone to help, no one was available for 7 hours... even tho i was due bk on a train to london at half 10. that's disgusting n totally unprofessional, then the guy had the audacity to blame me, like I intended to leave my bag in there, guy who works there is rude as hell, leaves a dog unattended also for 7 hours..poor dog.. like what would people of done if a fire occurred.... need to sort it out.... n maybe lose the attitude to customers, AVOID
It was a basic motel type room, which was ok for the price. The bed was awful. It was covered in plastic wrap which made it uncomfortable and sheet moves with you. Found hairs on the pillow and no pillow protector. There were stray hairs in the bathroom and black spots around the shower. The towels had seen better days and looked grubby. We didn't shower here.
Would not waste your money and book here paid 43 pounds for a room arrived yesterday evening and was told I have no booking for my name and they have no confirmation of the booking made even though they had took the money from my bank account I've just been scammed of 43 pounds this place is a joke never again thanks for scamming me
