Lovely local little pub with great food!! Went last night in a big group and two babies, phoned ahead first to make sure they had the room and the manager said he would get us sorted. On arriving we were warmly welcomed and shown to the table with the baby chairs ready to go. The food menu has a nice selection to choose from and the favourites in our group were the mussels and steak burger (both absolutely amazing) For dessert was their bonoffee pie which came with peanut butter ice cream and a honey comb crunch, again absolutely amazing. Nice friendly and helpful staff , all 5 stars for The Blue Anchor team.

Blue Anchor Crowborough great place to eat and have fun. Food really good large portions value for money. Great for children and adults. Like the friendly staff and service..😃😃😃😃

Went here mid Nov 17. Apparently there was a new chef and new menu. We arrived early Friday evening and were told we could pick any table as they were very quiet. The waiter was friendly and helpful. I had the Maryland chicken which came with baked banana (never had banana and chicken before) and it was hands down the best chicken I've ever had, moist and great flavour and huge portion! Hubby had fish cakes which were just as amazing. Service was a little slow, we were there for about two hours in total having appetizers and mains and we were one of four tables there. But the food was so good we didn't mind waiting.

Outstanding! Food was absolutely gorgeous, best burger I have had in ages. Would highly recommend a visit. Really clean and fresh pub, lovely staff and will definitely be back!

A really nice cosy country pub with good hearty food and friendly staff. I've been on two occasions, one a busy Sunday lunch and the other a quiet Saturday night at the end of January and the food and service was still the same quality.
