Gone here as a child, it was an okay school, sadly I did not get to reach my full potential due to bullying not the schools fault, I hope their policy on bullying/cyber bullying has been updated and are taking stricter measures. I wish no current students are undergoing what I had. Teachers are super lovely though!
This place is ok, some of the teachers were good and some weren’t, not many of them were very long term though. There was also a minimum of homework set for each year to complete, this was quite difficult as teachers didn’t have communication with each other over this, so if the schedule they had followed was missed by just one day that would create a domino effect to the rest of it. But for all the negative the school gets through word of mouth from student to student, there is also the fact that the teachers really try, they understand the situation that the students are in because they have to mark work, mark homework, and make the next lesson, for multiple classes, all in a night, every night, for a whole school year. So they get affected by the increase in homework. Plus I think the fact that this school had lower average GCSE’s was because of the slightly flawed and very harsh system put out by the government, that other schools probably didn’t follow. Anyway this place is sort of average although I think it has the potential to be the best place in Stafford by a long shot soon enough. Just make sure your kids are well behaved.
this outstandingly absurd the mountains of homework we get intervenes with our personal life, it effects our mental well being as it distances us from our loving families, which care about our well being. the amount of litter that is on the school site is inadequate as it effects the environment making the school feel dirty . it does not feel welcoming. thank you.
My grandson goes to this school, and today was his first day of year 10. He came home telling us about how they have introduced a policy of 2 hours homework per night. This is completely disgusting as how is he expect to have time for himself which we believe is much needed for his mental well-being. If you want your child well taught, then the results of this school are quite good indeed. But if you want your child to be in a happy environment to learn and one that values there well-being I suggest you to steer clear!
Too much vaping in the toilets sometimes, Mr Large smokes in there too. Free up Finley Malloy
It is proper bad and we get far too much homework in one week. And now they're I troducing rules where boys cannot have hair shorter than a grade 3 and girls can't wear any make up and no handbags and also there are very strict rules about what Coat you allowed to wear. I mean Cmon it's not even part the the school uniform That is my non explicit review. So parents looking at moving your child here don't because they will not be happy in any way about your decision to move them to this prison as they will experience stress and boredem unlike any other school offers.
My child has recently started Blessed William Howard and I was very nervous for her as she had come from a very small primary school, so knew it would be a huge change for her. However, she has settled in really well, found her way around supported by older children and teachers and made lots of new friendships. A very positive experience so far. Keep up the good work
From education to children, this school fails on every level. Would probably be better if I sent my child to Columbine, because getting shot seems like nothing compared to having to live in this joke of a school. I've never been here.
Since moving our daughter to BWHCS at the end of year 7 she has blossomed and come on exponentially. The teachers always get back to you and the Pastoral Care is excellent. The school excels from the Head down.
This school wasn't doing so well a few years ago but the governers and head teacher have made this a school to be reckoned with. Forward looking with the welfare and education of students at the forefront. A very satisfied parent.
