Absolutely stunning place! You literally can spend a whole day here and cover so much! It was such a brilliant day out, including catching the Salon Privé too! I would definitely recommend booking tickets in advance and visit on a weekday as it is quieter and you can get some stunning photos too!
We came to Blenheim palace in early June and we had a fantastic time. You can spend a whole day exploring the gardens and grounds, touring the inside of the house, and getting food at one of their restaurants! The place is very large, so although we spent a whole day here, we only scratched the surface of all they have. Our favorite parts were the butterfly house, touring the first floor of the palace, and the afternoon tea at the orangery which was a very good price!
It was a great day out. It was wonderful to visit Winston Churchill's home. Not sure how I feel about contemporary art displayed in the well preserved historical rooms. Maybe they can be placed somewhere else rather than in between history. It kind of ruined each room's experience.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Stunning palace and grounds. You can explore different things on different days! There's a children's adventure playground, a maze fun for adults too, buggy tour if you don't want to walk, the palace and it's rooms, and the stunning, extensive grounds which you could walk for hours. Cafes are decent. Would recommend a visit.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
A lovely place to visit but expensive when compared to other stately homes although you can visit for a year without paying again - ok if you live nearby and take advantage of it . I also thought the cafe and shop were expensive too. Although the shop sold a good range of nice things. Interesting historically, especially if you are interested in the Churchill family. I particularly enjoyed the butterfly house.
Wonderful place to visit, plenty to see at a fair price. Beautifully kept gardens, something for everyone. Paid £1 for a ride on the train to the walled garden and butterfly House, which was absolutely stunning. Car parking made easy for the disabled. However, food and drink are a bit pricey. Fabulous lake walks, allow at least 4 - 5 hours per visit!
The Game Fair was truly exceptional! The gun dog display was a standout, demonstrating the remarkable abilities of these dogs. It brought a thrilling energy to the event. Moreover, the diverse range of food stalls offered delicious treats, from traditional fare to gourmet delights, enhancing the overall experience. A perfect blend of entertainment and culinary delights for all visitors to enjoy
Blenheim Palace is an amazing place to visit! The architecture is stunning, and the gardens are beautifully kept. Walking through the grand rooms, you get a real sense of the history, especially with all the exhibits about Winston Churchill. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. The views around the estate are breathtaking, especially by the lake. We keep coming back again and again because there's always something new to explore and enjoy. It's a perfect spot for a day out, whether you're into history, architecture, or just want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend checking it out!
An incredible palace - very intricate and spectacular architecture. Beautiful gardens, although you can't go in some of them, and some pleasant lakeside and woodland walks. There's a few cafés here, but with limited menus and some close early. Travel by train as there's a 20% discount on entry tickets - these are very expensive but last the whole year, so it's worth coming here more than once. There's a minibus from Hanborough station and buses into Oxford. Highly recommend going here as it's one of the best palaces in the country.
The car park is managed extremely well. Can take up to 10 minutes to get N of the main road and the traffic was very busy. What an incredible place, so much land and a huge huge building which has lots of rooms to explore. The gardens are vast and be sure to visit the water fall. The entry fees is a bit high at £38 but it is an incredible place to visit. There was a cricket game and jousting on the Saturday we visited.
