Blake’s has been very consistent in how it runs for many years now. Training the new staff well and continually providing the best service is clear to be seen. Always worth a visit when in EnniskillenRecommended dishesPint of Guinness, Beef Striploin, Seared Sea Scallops, Homemade Bread
Excellent old pub with over 135 years of character. Friendly staff, very clean throughout and perhaps most importantly has superb Guinness. Can't comment on anything else but would certainly come back if in the area. Oh yeah, nearly forgot, and there is a door from that Game of thingys TV series
Had a beautiful lunch in their lovely restaurant downstairs 28. After entering the front door of the bar and asking if they served food I was directed to the restaurant downstairs. On passing through an elaborately carved door Game of Thrones and down a flight of stairs I was pleasantly surprised on entering the dining area of restaurant 28. Well lit with tables situated between pillars and archways beneath a wonderful vaulted ceiling it was both quite and inviting. After being seated I was presented with the Christmas lunch menu. I went for the 2 course lunch at £24. I ordered the Duck confit pie with buttered leeks as my starter and the Hake with chorizo and bean cassoulet for my main course. Both were beautifully presented. Flavours were well balanced and portion sizes were spot on. Staff were pleasant and attentive without being overly attentive. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wishing for that little something different and special in the heart of Enniskillen.
We went there for Christmas lunch 12 community nurses. We rarely get together but we pulled out all the stops. My first impression of the restaurant was that it really lacked Christmas ambience. No decorations or crackers on the table. We were late getting started as some of the staff were out on patient visits. That’s the nature of the job.. We were told if they didn’t come soon they would stop serving.. 12 people for lunch I am sure chef could stay a few extra minutes. I felt the menu was limited in choices. Veg etc are all added extras. The mash wasn’t fresh it had that supermarket mash taste.Desert menu two choices. The total bill for 12 437.00. No alcohol or juices. We didn't expect it to be cheap but did expect something better otherwise we good have gone somewhere cheap and less pretentious. Last year we went to Francos and it was fab but we felt Blake’s would offer something similar. Sadly not.
As an Irish pub experience - authentic. Will be back. Could become my Enniskillen local. Great for people staying in Lough Erne and want to experience a bit of local pub life. I was on Guinness 00 as driving - but good alternative. Please keep stocking Guinness Zero on Draught.
Didn't have food. Had a few great pints of Guinness here..the head on the stout was so thick, just like whipped cream..Best Guinness I've had in a pub for a while and the atmosphere was just brilliant..Service: 5/5
Love this bar, staff are very friendly and it has a great selection of drinks. The Victorian bar is beautiful, it's so quirky.Service: 5/5
Delicious food. The scallops were divine as a starter. We had duck and pork belly main meals and they were bursting with flavour. Good-sized sides of potatoes and veg. The desserts were works of art. Very friendly service.
This Bar has the "Door of the Stranger" Based on Series 6 Episode 4 Game of Thrones. One of 10 doors around Shoot Locations. Beautiful Bar.
Dogs not welcome in main bar , only in private snug 4 people total food from restaurant can't be brought into snug.Service: 3/5
