Incredible amount of stuff to see and do. Driving through the animal enclosure was fun and good view points to explore on foot for visiting the other animals. Birds of prey presentation was a highlight, definitely worth catching to see the owls and hawks swooping close to you. Dinosaur section was also interesting and engaging to explore. Brilliant play areas for kids including covered sections, chutes, climbing and sand play. Also has amusement rides which we didn't have time for. Lots of covered seating to eat, have coffee or get ice cream. Selection of food stalls and restaurants or can bring packed lunches. Will need to visit again to explore the parts we missed and try different animal talks. You needed to pre-book tickets online before entering when we went.
Overall It was a good experience, you can have both safari and walking experience to see the animals . Animals are mostly next to each other, so we don't have to do long walks with kids . If you plan prior, you can use the barbecue as well. The kids play area is really good as well and it costs 10 pounds for 5 tokens . Slide with Sack/mat is free . A really good place for a day out with kids . Seal shows give you a nice touch for the experience. If you want to make this trip educational then plan a little with a map and visit each place based on talk times. Well organised and maintained zoo .
We arrived at around 10:15 and promptly drove around the safari. It was our first experience of a safari/zoo and we loved every minute of it. All the animals looked clean, looked after and their enclosures looked immaculate. We managed to see Lucy’s pup, who was incredibly cute! The keepers around the zoo were extremely informative and we had a lovely chat about the resident elephant. Toilets were clean along with the park and eating/seating areas. We will definitely be returning and we will bring family members to experience the lovely atmosphere of Blair Drummond Safari.
This place is amazing, you couldn’t fault it, from the moment u arrive it’s just amazing. The free dog kennels allowed us to be able to go as we had brought our dog on holidays. The kennels are safe and clean and gave us great peace of mind. The drive through safari is a wonderful experience. The added touch was the little pocket money shop for children so that they could have a budget making it easier for parents. So much to see and do at your own leisure and not too much walking. You get proper views of the animals as you can stand right beside them. Staff are also so friendly.
Animals are very playful, it was nice seeing all little to big animals. Recommended to family and friends for a day out. It was nice visiting there, the place is just awesome. Very nice and beautiful. Perfect place to make weekend/ holiday memorable. All animals were nice, except rhinos, don’t know why they didn’t look nice or dirty. Was just wondering that why elephant was inside as he seems to be a very social animal, may the time we visited he was in. Drive through is just adventure and breath taking. In addition to animal, a lot of food options the play place with sand and rides is just all the kids want, my baby loved the sand playing.
We had a great visit as always, all the facilities are good plenty of food, snacks and drinks and staff are amazing. The restaurant service was fast. My boy had a wee cut on his knee and the staff were very helpful with providing the first aid kit albeit there’s no first aid room on site. Kids had lots of fun. We visit the park every year and can only expect a fun day out.
Really great day with lots to see. Very interesting talks on the animals by the staff. Plenty of food options and even a shaded self-service dog kennel area, so we didn't have to leave our dog behind for our holiday. Had a brilliant day out at Blair Drummond. Big variety of animals to see in spacious enclosures throughout the park. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
