My partner called and we got in at 14.30 for Sunday lunch, when we got there the bar area had a few people in. The open fire was going and it was very pleasant. Greeted by the staff that knew my partner and we were quickly shown to our table. We waited a good few minutes for someone to take our order. But when the food arrived it was amazing. Good service great food.
Me and friend booked a table for dinner, great service straight from walking through the door, very friendly staff and the food was excellent, nice quality for the price. Proper nice pub grub with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
Lovely friendly staff, nice area with lots of space and delicious food. Everything homecooked and from farmers locally. It really is a gem of a place. Their steak and ale pie was delicious! Lovely fresh vegetables - cooked to perfection!

Our WI chose the Blacksmiths Arms for our Christmas Dinner and were very pleased. There were 16 of us and the food arrived in a timely manner with everyone's food hot and well cooked - not always an easy task when serving such a large group. The food was delicious and the portions quite generous and they were happy to cater to the vegetarians and those who had special dietary needs. The servers were gracious and helpful and the pub itself was beautifully decorated. Overall, it was great value for money and we had a lovely evening. Vegetarian options: They were happy to provide for everyone's needs. The nut roast was one of the best I've had. Dietary restrictions: They provided gluten free options for various dishes and gluten free gravy.
Visited the pub for lunch after walk. As the food is all cooked to order you can expect a wait but l can assure you it will be well worthwhile! My fish & chips were superb and matched my hearty appetite. Some members of our group had the pie - again would satisfy Desperate Dan! All agreed our meals were the best we had sampled this year and so have no problem in giving the food, drink and staff a 10 out of 10. Throughly recommended for a pub lunch.
Lovely pub. Friendly staff. Burger was absolutely lovely especially with blue cheese but the chips weren't good. They were undercooked. Could have done with them being crispy not soft and tasteless. The pie was also lovely but lacked vegetable. Just a very small pot of peas and a bowl of chips! At £13.95 its very expensive for what you get. In all a nice little pub but their prices are far too high!
Just had our Sunday lunch here,,,,, and wow what a fantastic meal we had. Would definitely recommend and will be going back. The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere in there was fab.

Super Sunday roast let down with slow service. It took 1 hour 10 minutes from arriving to receive our food we had booked & the place wasn’t full. Friendly staff, even if some were lacking a bit of guidance. The actual roasts were excellent and some of the best we’ve ever had. Maybe it was an off day & I would go back to see if it was.
