Beautiful private beach with car park, toilet, restaurant and shop. It's not a sandy beach, but a fine shingles so would recommend wet shoes to wear, still absolutely stunning place and had the best day ever with the kids! Water is beautiful, clear and they have lifeguards as well.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Dogs are banned. I am a responsible dog owner but many are not and it was a delight not having to worry about poo squishing between my toes. There is a parking charge, £9 July 2022, and there really are no other options. A stunning location, tiny pebbles form the beach, lots of space, life guards, restaurant, shop and clean toilets.
Beautiful secluded bay offering car parking, toilet, cafe and beach shop. Wind break and kayak hire available from the beach shop which had wetsuits hanging up. Car park was £8 for the day in Jun 22. A quiet relaxing and stunning place. As for bathing, at time of writing in June there was no lifeguard available and the beach shelves steeply. Still a relaxing beach with plenty of space for everyone. Cafe prices were top end with tea at £2.15 and Hot Chocolate, although it was superbly chocolaty, was £3.69 As long as you know what you will pay, you have the choice.
Stunning location. Big shingle beach. Small boxed in sand pit for children. Great cafe/bar/restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. Big manned car park. Arrived mid afternoon so he charged us £2. Think it was £5 standard fee for all day. Toilet block on site. Loved it there.
Lovely beach. Not too expensive to park there. Toilets and a little ice-cream shop we nice. The actual beach is shingle not sand but that didn't make it a bad thing. The only downside is you can't make castles.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Wonder full clean privately owned beach with amazing views, and clear blue water, toilets are cleaned regularly, cafe offers simple snack type food and drinks but quite reasonably price’s. Parking for the day is £9 which isn’t too expensive for the hight of the summer, it is cheaper early in and towards the end of the year . Friendly helpful staff who seem only to willing to lend a hand to insure that you enjoy your experience is a pleasant one The owners work tirelessly to care for this amazing beautiful beach and hopefully will continue for many years to come so people can still enjoy this very special place in the future
Lovely, quiet beach during winter time and early spring... Dogs welcome between November to end of March... I've not yet experienced summer in South Devon as I've only lived here since October, but I'm pretty sure it will be popular. It's a fine gravel beach, so be prepared to empty shoes or get some waterproof beach shoes. The water is beautiful and you can't beat turquoise waves.
Absolutely amazing had great fun with the kids car park guy is friendly and always smiling. The beach was lovely as it was pebbles and stones not sand so there was no mess. Safety is always there as they have a couple of life guard’s patrolling the area and watching after everyone’s safety. Ocean was clean you could actually see where your walking.
At £9 for parking I think numbers of visitors may be limited. Certainly when we visited on a very hot day this was the case. For an extra £5 per person your can visit the gardens but, whilst interesting, these are in need of some professional garden care . The sands are gritty rather then soft. Plenty of space and a lovely setting. Café providing good quality snacks and coffee etc. Indoor and outdoor seats. Very clean and well kept toilets.
One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to so far. It is managed by a private owner so there is a charge of £6 for a car and passengers. It is a pebbles beach so might not be ideal for sand beach lovers. Crystal clear water with amazing views.
