Centrally located, good bus and taxi service, sainsbury across the road and the beech only 5 minutes walk, staff are helpful, plenty of seating area
It is a very small station but with long platforms. There are toilets here. There is very little seating around the station itself but some outside and on the platforms. There is a pumpkin cafe, but it is very expensive, so I recommend using the vending machines for drinks and snacks. The doors to the platforms have barriers across them that you can't pass until near your departure time, which was a tad annoying as I would have rather waited on the platform where it was cooler.
The most poorly managed station in the country. Massive platforms they don't use. A station full to capacity with hot and angry people, with no system whatsoever, with staff arguing with customers that have missed the last 2 services due to them all being FULL. What an absolute shambles!
What a shame.nn0 help today for my sister who was travelling alone with her 2 month old baby. She asked before getting on as train station was packed, particularly for the train she was due to travel on. She was fobbed off and told the train manager would help her although no train manager in sight and everyone rushing to get on it was a case of hope for the bestnnThe price of tickets these days you think having good customer service skills or better yet basic human decency would be a given.nNo one is asking for above and beyond here either just simply some help.nnI mean there's often 3 or 4 stood at the tickets stands whenever I go, it's a shame no one could help or even give the impression they wanted to help.nnSort it out.
Not the train station itself but the staff members there was absolutely great a young tall ginger man think he was a supervisor on Friday was amazing helped us greatly when our train was cancelled twice very late with my 2 little under 5s thank you soo much and another man who directed us to the next platform thanks great guys made a bad experience not so bad
