Nice little ground. Good access. Has a fanzone for away fans. Great views of the pitch. Home fans friendly. Catering a bit basic for away fans with cans of fosters and assorted pies. A couple of different soft drinks but no hot drinks available when we visited with 7500 Sheff Wed fans otherwise a decent day out.
Argyle on tour !! On the 0551 train to get here! And it's a long walk from the railway station in Blackburn. The first visit for me. It's iconic because of its history.....they won the top league in the 90's with Alan Shearer. Its looking a bit shabby now however and it is far to big for them. The crowd doesn't sing and seemed totally apathetic. We got a point but it should have been 3. We went in the Fernhurst which was a huge pub in close proximity. 1400 away fans travelled 640 miles!!
The home of the champion of premier league. I saw a nice game in here and spent a good afternoon with joy. However, the home team supporters “Riversiders” are too quiet. In the whole game you just can hear the away fans’ noisy.
Ewood Park home of blackburn rovers.nEasy access from the city centre. Bus 1 runs every couple of minutes past the ground.nGreat club shop and a lot of activities going on around the stadium. There was a chance to meet the rover teddy rover Blackburn mascot and have a quick picture. A fan zone with bars and food outletnPrices very reasonable for a championship club. £20 for a adult ticket and £5 for children under 12 ticket.nStaff are friendly and welcoming at Ewood park.nToday's match A Lancashire Yorkshire Derby match.nGreat atmosphere. Plenty of singing.nFood and bars in the stadium reasonable price drinks and food.nJust be careful when leaving the ground. They shut the main road for 15 minutes at full time.
Good view of the pitch from our seats.nReally annoyed at getting into the stadium took so long we missed the first 15 minutes and there were loads of people behind us. Not enough turnstiles open or staff. They knew well in advance there was over 7000 of us going
