Went Friday night 7:45pm - 10pm. Great atmosphere. Lots of skating time, but it goes so quickly! The man behind the skate hire counter, Connor, was incredibly helpful. He kept stuff safe for me behind the counter and got an ice pack for me when a person in our group hurt her hand. Thank you Connor for all of your help! Would recommend this place! A good experience and friendly staff!
Great place to ice skate. Could prob do with a little doing up here and there but good day out. The skate shop inside was excellent. The two girls who served us in there were so helpful and spent time making sure my daughters ice skates fitted perfect and gave us great advice as well as being super friendly and welcoming.
This place needs some serious work. The ice skates they hire have almost zero sharpness to the blades so makes it near impossibleto skate. Spent a lot of time swapping skates around to find ones that are safe to use with a blade I was told they barely ever get sharpened by staff. The toilets here are beyond disgusting. Probably haven't been refurbed in maybe 30 years? The cafe again is beyond disgusting...stinks and is the most grim looking cafe on the planet....I have never seen anything like it.
Planet ice cafe , you have some lovely girls working in there , they go out of their way to make you feel welcome , Beth is outstanding my granddaughters love the hot chocolate with whip , marshmallow & flake , I personally can’t wait till they start to do the Xmas hot choc with after eights , keep up the good work girls xx
Probably the most fun I’ve had in years, absolutely brilliant, kids loved it too… bought some skates at the shop and the staff member that served me was brilliant, packaged them up like a pro can’t fault anything. Definitely returning
In need of a refurb place is dirty. Hand sanitizer units in the building but not 1 of them had any sanitizer in. Ice skates are blunt impossible to skate changed the pair for slightly better. The ice was lumpy worse than the pot holes on most uk roads. There was big puddles where the ice has melted. It felt very unsafe. It was over £14 per person I would not mind the price if the experience was better. I will not be coming here again. There is a cafe but looking at the state of the building there is no chance I would eat or drink anything from there. My 1st visit in a couple of years seems to have gone downhill a lot since then.
This place us shocking. Leaking toilets, freezing inside I know it's an ice rink but compared to others in the uk ice is poorly looked after like the building it's self and dirty look at banners as an example
£7 for a support aid I got size skates that were the size of my shoes they had zero sharpness when I asked them to sharpen them they didn't listen and the skates I was given gave me a really bad blister to the point I was in pain and had to come of the ice and spend 35 minutes watching my girlfriend and her brother skate I was quite upset as she paid £50 for all of us and I couldn't finish the public session and also people are skating to dangerously past people who havnt skated before for example me my anxiety was kicking of and I had a few people skating very dangerously past me I even witnessed an experienced skater knock a first timer down and didn't even apologise
Great venue! Watched my first hockey game, which was really good and very fast. Definitely worth a visit.
We booked the three day Skate Excellence course for half term and found it to be great value. A half hour ice skating lesson followed by access to the rink for as long as we wanted and a meal day. Every member of staff we came into contact with from reception to the coaches were really friend and helpful. The service was a little slow in the cafe and we'd have liked some healthier options to choose from but otherwise it was OK. Going forward, the pricing for a general session plus skate hire is expensive but it's something we really enjoy doing as a family
