Perfect pub, plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Great food and drink selection, friendly staff. Duck pond take 50 pence pieces to buy duck seed to feed them, awesome play area and tractor for the kids. Honestly the best best pub I've been to in years, oh! And it's dog friendly. The only gripe was that you can't order the whole menu if eating outside, just the burgers and sides... not sure how it's different them carrying burgers outside than a pie and mash but there you go Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options available on the menu Kid-friendliness: Duck pond take 50 pence pieces to buy duck seed to feed them, awesome play area and tractor for the kids. Parking: Plenty of parking, even if it were full there's street parking nearby if you really needed it but probably wouldnt
3 of us had lunch. Food amazing. Had starters - fishcake, pate and potato and leek soup all very very tasty . Then 2 of us had beer battered fish and chips. Wow absolutely enormous and best ever tasted. Also my daughter had the hanging kebab. Again an enormous portion and extremely tasty. There is a great range of deserts too but we were full to bursting. Try them next time. Staff very friendly and helpful not pushy. Beautiful surroundings. Will definitely be back.
I have been staying here regularly for work commitments. I cannot fault the place. The management and their team are brilliant. Always making a good atmosphere and making you feel at home. Great selection of food and drinks. The accommodation prices are also hard to beat. Well done to the team at The Black Swan. Kid-friendliness: Great park for the kids Parking: Plenty parking spaces
The pub is lovely and great for a beer, however the food is well below average for a vegetarian. Bang bang cauliflower…more like knock knock, it was a joke! £6.50 for boiled cauliflower with some watery dipping sauce on the top, come on just take it off the menu, replace it with a mini quiche or veggie spring rolls perhaps. I did give feedback about this dish to the waitress who really wasn’t bothered. Secondly, the veg casserole for £13-14, it was tasteless and didn’t seem homemade at all, more like from a can. Overall if you’re a vegetarian/vegan it’s not a great place to dine and overpriced for what you get. Parking: Good size car park
This place sadly has become a total dive. Place was filthy, and kids were running around screaming hysterically. This used to be a cozy pub, and now it's just a dirty, cheap modern dive of a pub. Lost all of its character and charm. Not a great selection of beers either.Food: 2/5
Came here for a dinner with work. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the interior was nice - upscale pub sort of vibes. There was plenty of parking. They didn't have any nice fruity soft fizzy drinks - just the usual Coke etc. I went for the 'famous hanging kebab' and was disappointed. The chicken was dry and unseasoned, and the vegetables could have done with some more time being cooked. It was a big portion, which did fill me up. Others were happy with the fishcakes, burgers, and the fish and chips which left me regretting getting the kebab.
Always like going here, good selection of ales, great food and nice atmosphere. Helpful staff, it can get busy though so I would advise booking your table if going for a mealFood: 4/5
Service is awfully slow waited 3 hours to get a meal and dessert. Food is not priced well it’s expensive for what it comes out to be. Wouldn’t recommend taking a birthday cake neither because they let the wax melt all over it in an attempt to light it
Friendly reception, good service and interesting food. Also a few good beers. Not super cheap, but can't have everything!
Its always nice everytime we go.to here the fish and chips was huge and we went on a Friday so was 2 for £20 well worth the money. Never had a bad meal here..Food: 5/5
