Black Prince offers narrowboat holiday across the UK on a fleet of bespoke, modern, award-winning boats. We welcome seasoned enthusiasts as well as guests who may be new to narrowboating, offering a comprehensive induction and training before you launch onto the waterways. Mission

Canal boats, barges, narrowboats, call them what you will, there is nothing to compare with the unique experience of a narrowboat for exploring Britain’s beautiful countryside. Enforced relaxation while drifting along at no more than 4 miles per hour, a flurry of activity as you come to a flight of locks.

A holiday of contrasts, taken at a slow pace. The variety is endless; city, town, village and country, wide and narrow canals. Every bend in the canal brings forth some new delight, every mile some new feature.

Narrowboat holidays are for relaxation, for unwinding from everyday pressures, for doing what you like, when you like. With us you have the choice of seven bases, each with their own unique routes to help you discover a little more of our beautiful countryside.

We have just returned from a perfect 4 day break on the Martha.  The welcome and instructions were excellent.  We boarded quickly with our dogs and off we went.  The boat was extremely clean and an unexpected vanity pack and washing up box provided.  Thank you Sandy! Beside one wet afternoon when we holed up in a local pub the weather was kind.  The peaceful river banks with the wild flowers and interesting people were a revelation. On our return we disembarked said our good byes and planned another more adventurous trip for next year! Can highly recommend. Our dogs slept for two days on our return!!

This is the 5th time we have been away with Black Prince but the first time from Stoke Pior. Can't fault their service. This is the first time we have been given a map of our journey with advice on where to Moor and not Moor, pump outs etc. Really friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would recommend Black Prince if you want to try a canal boat holiday. Their boats are always clean and are very modern.

Picked up boat small induction off we went no problem.  Clean boat. Rudder came off we rang black Prince someone was with us in 15 mins 10 minutes fixed on our way no problem.  We throughly enjoyed ourselves.  We will be back thankyou.

We've just got back from a two week canal holiday using Black Prince narrow boats in Bromsgrove and had an amazing time belly laughing most days at or with other boaters. We turned up to be greeted by all staff and treated like royalty. Friendly and helpful staff showed us to our boat "Daisy", had our tour of boat and we were off. The boat was beautifully maintained, clean and very see worthy. On our return we were greeted with the same enthusiasm by staff and given a gift to remind us of our trip. Having used ABC on our other two trips, Black Prince was by far the best canal boat company we have used. Want a trip on a canal, you can't go wrong with these people.

We have just had a midweek break, our first on a narrow boat and can't recommend Black Prince Holidays enough The boat was spotless and extremely well.stocked. The guys gave us a very warm and chilled welcome. Handover instructions were very comprehensive and we were soon out on the water. We can't fault BPH at all Thank you

We have just spent a most fantastic week on a Black Prince 60ft narrow boat, both on the canal and river Severn. The boats are all super equipped, with hot water, showers and radiators for night time extra cozying. The fridge isn’t small as stated and everything was super clean.  The hand over was comprehensive and by the 2nd lock, we were on fire with paddles and lock opening. It’s been so much fun for both adults and children. Final night was spent at the Navigation Inn, another super friendly pub with food to die for. Thanks to everyone that helped to make this a special week for Dudley and Sue.

Just had a fantastic week navigating the Stourport Ring starting at the Black Prince base at Stoke Prior. Black Prince are excellent, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, ready to give good advice. Our boat was 4 years old but looked as good as new. All the boats are superb and work brilliantly. A great holiday for the whole family. Will definitely do it again and will have no hesitation to book with Black Prince.

Great holiday experience. Good brief given for beginner narrow boaters, route planned with helpful pointers and tips.  Narrow boat was modern and full of great amenities. WiFi was hit and miss, this was mentioned during the initial brief. Easy to pilot.

Rented boat for a week and it was amazing experience. Friendly and always available staff. Decent prices and fairly convenient location.
