Black Medicine

We visited in January 2020, and this was a darling little shop to escape the cold. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the coffee was delicious! We ordered Americanos and they came with an excellent little ginger snap biscuit on the side. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Edinburgh!

Unique cozy vibes. Ancient but also modern. A place where you would wonder if it would have been your go-to had you lived in whimsical Edinburgh. JK Rowling is said to have written some HP chapters here.

Not been here for years and went with a friend today. Still a great wee place, super coffee, delicious panini!! Worth a stop in if you're that side of town

No wifi, unless you're female. Owner seems to give out the staff wifi to attractive female customers, so if you fall into that category, you'll love it. If not, go elsewhere as the owner probably doesn't want you there either.
