I feel that there wasn’t the best choice of food and the food I was served was eh. The steak was overly chewy at one point and then rock hard at another. The fries were decent. The bread was also okay. The dessert, in my opinion, was the best part! However, it was decently priced and the service was very friendly.
Truly a special place - we visited for Sunday lunch, the building is absolutely gorgeous, the food was exceptional, yet my special thanks go to the staff who offer a level of hospitality unlike any other, we’ve never felt so welcomed in a setting like this. Thank you ever so much, we will see you soon
We went for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious sandwiches, scones, and various sweet things. Lovely presentation. Good service.nYou must pre-book and pay and let them know in advance of any dietary requirements.nWe have eaten lunch/dinner here before too, and from memory it was good.nThe outdoor seating area for both eating and drinking is also lovely.nIt's a very popular place for weddings, with separate function rooms, so it's a busy place with a lovely atmosphere.nBooking advised.

We summoned the Steak Board – apart from fillet, rib-eye and sirloin, all the beef cuts are sold by weight – but my friend wasn’t keen, requesting instead some scallops from the starters menu and an assortment of sides. “Lots of people do that,” said the server. The only “bespoke” cut that was even vaguely plausible for me alone was a 250g hunk of Chateaubriand, the tenderest bit of the tenderloin.
