We went to the pub and had a great time. Ben was so kind and cheerful and made us feel so welcomed. We had little chats back and then and his sense of humour had us laughing and in a good mood. We visited on Sunday and ordered Sunday roast. Delicious and tasty. Very quick service. Cosy pub, very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Definitely recommend.
Plenty of seats inside and outside but Service on the slow side. I had the cod and chips which was nice but the portion of mushy peas was poorly see photo. Tartare sauce was nice and fresh not out of a jar.
Really nice. Badher beer, a steak & a really nice sticky toffee pudding. Out of roast dinners , but we weren't fussed.
Visited for my mine and my partners anniversary this evening and it was amazing! Upon arrival we were greeted with a happy and lovely manner. The gentleman who seated us I believe he was the manager was so welcoming and wished us a happy anniversary. As we got to the table there was a lovely card wishing us again a happy anniversary which was so nice, as they did not have to do that and it meant a lot to us. Once we were sat, a lovely young lady came to take our orders and she was very sweet and so attentive. Our food came swiftly and tasted delicious, I definitely recommend the homemade sausage roll for a starter. My partner had the whitebait which was huge! Overall would definitely recommend the black horse as everything was perfect :
What an experience, in such a good way. Josh and his team were amazing. We booked the Black Horse at one weeks notice for a wake. The communication up to the day was efficient and relevant. Food was ordered and allowances were made for extra small plates. On the day the team could not have been more attentive. The food was so good. Everyone commented on the quality, the variety and the taste. Tea and coffee and plenty of chips in bowls that never emptied. Value for money incredible! It was the compassion showed on the day by the team that impressed me so much. They genuinely cared. Thank you so much for making the booking and communication so easy. Thank you from the bottom of my families heart for supporting us on such a difficult day. Thank you Josh and your whole team for being so caring. We would recommend to anyone looking for a venue to cater for their events.
Stumbled across this pub & restaurant on a journey from Cheshire to Surrey in need of a pit stop. We had the Sunday roast, which was delicious and mini puddings & coffees which were perfect. Great service, food and ambience
Excellent service and great food , maybe little bit pricy but everything was top notch , lovely farm shop and loads of parking
I went to this pub with my Fiance,her sister and partner. It was amazing experience. Our server Ben was fast, kind helpful ,nice person. The food at the pub was wonderful, I had the fishcake, it was wonderful, very flavorful, great atmosphere. Would definitely come back for another visit.
Just had an amazing meal here, the roast dinners are a game changer. Also dog friendly pub. A real home from home feel about this place. Kasey behind the bar is a friendly and helpful lady.. will definitely be back. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon.
