Wanted something warming whilst Xmas shopping, so popped for first time Friendly service, nice surroundings. Lovely tasty food! Had French onion soup, yummy Followed by beef casserole with mash and veg. All good.
Good French food, lively atmosphere, great kid's menu £7 for 3 courses, food is reasonably priced, portions are plentiful, bread was lovely and soft, creme brulee was exquisite. My salad with grilled chicken was filling. Cream of cauliflower soup was tasty. Recommended.
Lovely staff but the experience was poor on this visit. Sign says ‘please wait to be seated’. After being shown to a table, we received our drinks... no food menu. 10 minutes later “would you like a food menu”? ?seriously... we weren’t sat at the bar...?. Ordered food which arrived after a bit of a wait. Seabas was drenched in oil, this kinda fish is oily anyways. The green beans had so much oil on them I couldent eat them. The waiter replaced this dish the replacement risotto was nice. The deserts were okay, my brownie was kinda average, bitter brownie, bitter chocolate sauce which I wouldent have combined. Again, the waiter/waitresses were kind and helpful but this visit was just a miss for me.
Great staff and service at this restaurant, been several times now and the food is always beautiful and well presented. We look forward to our next visit.
I think I wanted to give it 4 stars but couldn’t quite because the food was such a fail. The location is perfect and the service was excellent; warm & friendly and a real credit to the place. I loved the fact that, as a lone diner, I could get 500ml carafes of many wines. The Wednesday night offers for steak & frites with a creek brûlée dessert were reasonably priced and the dessert was very good. The complimentary bread and butter was very good. But the steak was tough and undercooked, the fries were tepid and a little sad as if they’ve been sitting there for a while. The house salad is unimaginative and overpriced. Bistrot Pierre, you are so close to having something quite good here but you need to really concentrate on the main act - the food! 24/4/2019 Sorry guys, gave you a second chance and you failed to live up to expectations or even the last experience. It’s the same complaint, environment and front of house is excellent but the food is hugely disappointing. Tonight the bread was just a cheap white baguette and not a patch on last week’s. But it was the ‘Bayonne & Bleu’ burger that was the biggest disappointment. Both the burger and bun felt really cheap; it reminded me of a Wimpy burger, and I don’t think I’m being overly harsh. The skin-on fries were fresh tonight but catered skinny fries like this are a really cheap option. For £13.95, I expect a lot more in a place like this. Sorry guys, I’m out.
High quality food, super delicious. Friendly staffs, good atmosphere too!
Blisteringly good value for their Prix Fixe lunch deals. The portions are manageable and not parsimonious. One could easily while away hours here over wine and bread.
Lovely few hours spent sat outside in the sunshine with a small glass of wine & nibbles Great location right in the centre of Altrincham Lovely friendly staff. Very busy so a bit slow on service, but I wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere so no problem for me.
Enjoyed a nice breakfast here. £7.50 for a large full English. Unlimited filter coffee for £1. Friendly staff. I think once the inevitable small teething problems you get with any new place are ironed out, it'll be a great addition to the town's dining out scene.
Warm busy place to be at during the weekend. The atmosphere here is amazing and the male waitors are very accomodating. However, there was no seating area so we were advised to wait at the bar... then a female bar tender gave us attitude and dirty looks whilst frustratingly asking, "Can you guys just move out of the way just incase, PURLEEZ!" And then tried saving herself from judgement after seeing our unimpressed faces because there was over 20 of us waiting for our lately prepared table. Aside from this set back the food was amazing however they ran out of a certain dishes and also herbal drinks. I would definitely go back again, maybe I would advise to go earlier when it's not so busy and when staff aren't as stressed too.
