I went once for seafood chowder, which turned out to be very good and recently I visited Fish Shack for proper Sunday lunch. We ordered beautiful served Fish&Chips and Scampi - All delicious
Great seafood & lovely location by the sea! We took fried calamari’s as a starter, shrimps burger with chips and the days special hake with potato mash - all fresh, beautifully presented and most importantly, tasty
Great spot. Food is always so fresh and so tasty. Service was on point. Have been a good few times and will defo be going again..Food: 5/5
Standing at Fish Shack, half hour wait for a table, yet 5 empty tables here, and no sign of any of the people supposedly on the waiting list. They seem to be taking people’s numbers and call them. Seeing multiple potential customers being turned away, while these tables sit empty. Not the staff’s fault, obviously just following a mock of a system set to by management.
Pretty busy on the weekend, but it is good that the staff takes your number and calls you back once the table is ready. Lucky that we wait less than expected Nice seafood, especially the fried haddock.
I used to go there. I was there again I was told it takes 20 minutes for my order gets ready 2 burgers. It took 37 minutes! I was given the wrong items 2 chips instead of 1 chips and one salad . Look at the portion and quality of salad i received after another 5 min delay you can compare the two salad one before covid and the one i received today . So disappointing almost empty with non-fresh herbs . A huge amount of paper waste for each order . The burger quality was good and the staffs tried to be helpful but failed!

Long promised trip to myself based on the few comments I'd read online from time to time. One favourite meal of mine is Fish and Chips and I've had this in several establishments in the general vicinity of this restaurant. Impressed by the online menu stating that their fish is Haddock, my favourite and it's not available locally anywhere. I have just had the meal in this place - what a disappointment. Very small portions, the smallest I've come across anywhere. Even the "chips" were not in fact chips nor French fries they were indeed, triple thick cut slices like crisps and coarsely cut from what appears to be unpeeled potatoes and small in portion. The fish was two very small strips and not enough to even barely satisfy. I won't go again. If you DO go, stay clear of the door which has no porch and strong cold sea breezes blast in. In fairness I would have to say the Haddock quality was very good despite being very small as described. What a pity the management appear to have opted to let profit dictate the measley portions served. It could do so much better in this lovely location. I have to say that I have friends that have dined here and related a very good experience. Sadly in my case, I was not enthused enough to think of going there again.
Awful take away food, inedible and so pricey for what we got: €34 for two small take away fish & chips ended up feeding it to the birds. The batter was rock hard, the chips were so dry, we couldn't eat any of it. Not sure why we even ordered from there, as the last time we sat in it was terrible. Tiny portions, exceptionally slow service even though the restaurant wasn't busy and no selection of wines or dessert one type of red wine and one scoop of ice cream left, we didn't ask about the white wine. The wine and desserts that we were hoping to order were on the bill despite not being available, we had to wait for the bill to be re-issued. This place used to be great, but it's gone drastically downhill in quality and portion sizes and up in price.
Very disappointed… we’ve been regular customers for a few years and until now absolutely loved it. We got delivery today and things have declined quite a bit. Prices way up, portion sizes down, and the fish n chips batter tasted like a different recipe. Which is nuts because the previous one was amazing and set it apart from all the other fish n chips places nearby. From the other reviews this seems like the new normal unfortunately so I don’t think we’ll be ordering again.
