It was actually very nice, didn't think we would get many roast potatoes so ordered more, we had loads and they were well nice. Beef abit chewy but would definitely go again.Food: 4/5
They gave us a lovely table for breakfast. Plenty to choose from, cooked breakfast £9.50 which includes continental and any drinks. Continental £7.50. I'd love to see some plum tomatoes on offer. I had poached egg on crumpet with mushrooms and beans, then fruit with 0% greek yoghurt and a strawberry jam sachet on top. Cooked breakfast you have a choice of fried, poached or scrambled egg you need to ask for poached or scrambled, bacon, sausage, hash brown, black pudding, beans & mushrooms. Continental breakfast, there were 3 serve yourself cereals but the had packets of muesli & weetabix. There were a selection of pastries, blueberry muffin, pain au chocolate, croissant. You can have buttermilk pancakes, toast, crumpets. There is a selection of spreads, jam, marmalade & nutella. Bowls of fruit, mixed berries and then some apple, orange and grapes, 2 types of yoghurt, 0% greek or strawberry. Juices of apple, orange and I think there was cranberry as well. Coffee machine which serves latte, flat white or there is decaff in sachets and a selection of tea. 2 children eat free with 1 paying adult. Staff were helpful. Kid-friendliness: We had 4 children with us, there is loads of different foods to choose from so something for everyone. Parking: Lots of spaces, disabled near the entrance, abled bodied not far from entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors, ground floor.
How can a restaurant lose a table of four guests? Table Table managed it. The main course was fine, well cooked and presented. We ordered dessert and waited. After around half an hour we looked for staff to ask where the food was. "Oh, I thought you had your desserts. We'll see to them now." Another lengthy wait and we gave up. £10 off the bill was of little comfort to us. Something is wrong there as our friends had a similar experience recently.
Absolutely shocking table booked for 5pm for 6 adults and 3 kids on a Sunday the starters were cold the mains turned up 40 minutes later they were warm so a slight improvement however I did have to ask how long we had to wait for them. Another 45 minutes later I had to ask how long the kids puds were going to be 10 minutes later they turned up pancakes with banana cream and chocolate sauce the pancakes were stone cold I mean who has cold pancakes. We were sat opposite the kitchen and could see through the door there was food sat on the pass for ages and the chef kept touching it to make sure it was still warm. Don't think we will be coming back...
The Ryan Air of restaurants. Portions are meagre. I ended up paying for so many extras to make my burger a decent size that its overall cost outweighed its quality. When I asked for a larger portion of Sloppy Joe I'd estimate the portion I paid extra for to be approximately 2 table spoons, I was told that this was "a whole bag" and that if I wanted more I'd have to pay more. On top of the more I'd already paid. I have given 2 stars for atmosphere. When I arrived, staff were larking about as if they were school children getting naughty time in before teacher arrived. Staff morale is important but mucking about in the restaurant itself is unprofessional. Guests don't want to dine in a classroom for naughty kids. The food I got was actually quite nice. It's a shame I left with the impression - all too common with big food corps - that the most important thing is profit margins and the least, the customer experience. I will eat elsewhere next time. I don't want my dining experience to feel like a school canteen with bagged portions.
Took my mother here for mother's day. 45 min wait for our orders to be taken. Our main arrived at 2.10.. we arrived at 12.30! The meat was tough. The sprouts were frozen sprouts full of water, the sausage in pigs blanket was barely cooked, the plates were cold. All in all very bad. I write this reluctantly because I want the place to do well, but they need to up their game.
Visited this on the way for a weekend away after popping into Old Sarum round the corner. Superb. We arrived a bit early for lunch 11:40 we had not booked, so it did take a few minutes for anyone to realise we were waiting but after that it was good experience. Once seen, quickly seated and drinks orders taken, though we understood food not available till 12. Drinks arrived within a minute or two and food orders taken just before 12. Food came very quickly and was very good. My wife had beef and ale pie and was not expecting a lot as pies can be often underwhelming, but this pie was packed full and tasty. My curry was generous and full of flavour. A nice touch was the spoon which came with it to gather up spare sauce in bowl. We are regular table table visitors and the food offering is standard but this one was top of the pile. Plus we had loyalty points so the cost was minimal. Highly rate this for food and in this case service. Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free options and details on request, you can check online but do ask if reaction is severe
A two night stay. All very good until last night evening. Upon entering, no greeting from numerous staff, no smiles, no " will attend to you in a mo", one member when eventually escorted to table very polite. My meal was abysmal and sent it back...I've rated Premier inn and its restaurants for years...but?????
Suffering from the same lacklustre premises and lackadaisical staff as all other establishments in the wider geographical area. Sticky table tops, dirty carpets, filthy toilets with no hand soap in either the ladies or gents, huge puddle of water in the gents which also stank. Waited an hour between starters and main course. Steak almost inedible and luke warm, peas cold. Cheapest sausage you could possibly buy. Half a tomato. Absolute garbage mixed grill, £16. Rip.off. No refillable soft drink. No attempt to find out if we enjoyed our food or visit. Then decided that the contactless payment system wasn't working and that must be our fault of course. Utter tosh. They have the payments set to a max of £45. After a lot of huffing and puffing we managed to pay in two installments. We won't be back.
Food was surprisingly good for a chain and service was good too. Good selection of beer. Was a bit quiet when we were there ‍ is that a bad thing thoFood: 4/5
