I know that the place has been taken over but there was no J2O and no other fruit juice. They gave me a French fizzy pop with zero flavour as a substitute. The ale was almost empty but they sold it anyway. Not good guys. Not good at all.
Great fun in a warm and welcoming local pub we used to frequent 30yrs ago when Dot was in charge! Tho staying in Shaldon, we would much prefer to be drinking in the Bishop! Well done landlord! X
Under new management the pub is the best it has been in years friendly inviting and huge range of beers. The best local I have ever had

A decent pint in an idyllic location, with a friendly bar man. Who knows when it is open, though!
A real old fashioned pub
Despite having had many a drink at this place before, we were told it is not courteous to urinate in their toilets before buying a drink and were rudely told to leave the premises. Never attending the 'pub' again.
