The priest was very rude and judgmental. He tried to embarrass people if they were not doing everything perfectly. He had a go at a mom with her little girl because apparently the child did not know how to kiss the cross. It’s a shame to have somebody like him representing the church. Instead of supporting and giving guidance he was exploiting and embarrassing the person in front of everyone. I’ve attached a photo of the priest
Beautiful place In the Church there is GOD, the Holy Liturgy is something beautiful, it cleanses your soul of all evil, it charges you with energy, it is something divine! God help!
We enquired about Christening our baby. The priest charged us 100 pounds and then said we the parents need to be married in the church before the baptism can happen. We already had arrangements to get married in Romania, so we only wanted the Christening for now, but he insisted it had to be done before our child can get baptised. We explained that the whole family was in Romania, including the godfathers so it would be very difficult and costly for us to do everything in birmingham and his solution was for him to choose new godfathers for us from his church community. We politely refused and went to Romania and the priest here had absolutely no problem Christening our baby without us being married.nReflecting back, we sadly realised that this is nothing more than a business. Getting married there would have meant more money for the church. The priest and the church staff also had quite an arrogant attitude. The community indeed seemed tightly knit but something didn't feel right every time we visited.. it's like they followed the priest blindly, reminded me of the Sheep song by Pink Floyd, felt a bit like a cult. I am sure God is not upset by me leaving this review because I'm fairly certain Jesus did not actually invent the orthodox church.
The priest is a joke. Used the cross to scratch his head and then had a got at my boyfriend for having his hand behind his back when kissing the cross he just used to scratch his head with. Disgusting behaviour and double standards.
Lovely place. Friendly staff. The parking is the only issue.nYou will have to park around 600 yards to be able to go in a busy day like a Sunday.
