My husband and I got married here just recently, wedding was great. The honeymoon suit was terrible, so dirty, stains on the sofa. We shut the curtains and a pile of dust fell on us. The bathroom was terrible, had a HIS and HER sink, only one set of taps worked, no bath, the lights were THICK with dust, had mould on the shower curtain. The bed was like sleeping of a bed of bricks. Staff were constanly sitting about, came in once to a young lad sitting in the reception with head phones on watching his phone. The hotel was freezing cold. Had to ask on a number of occasions to turn heating up. Defiantly not worth the money. There was a lady names Margaret at breakfast she was very nice, and a guy named dave ( I think) extremely helpful. Everyone else was rude and very very unhelpful. Will definitely not be back. They are living on there location, cos the rooms are terrible, service isn't the best ( apart for the 2 I have mentioned). So very disappointed.

The area around birnam is perfect middle of the forrest and a large river good walking places Hotel looks great and rooms are large but the bed is awfull you will sleep better on the floor

We got a half price deal on our room but even at half price it wasn't worth it! The bathroom was obviously a work in progress (I hope)! Toilet was dirty & the plug in the bath didn't fit properly! The floor throughout hadn't been hoovered as I soon found out while walking about barefoot! Everything else was ok but if we had paid full price I don't think we'd have stayed! 😑

After being unwell it was good just to get away for a nights break, location good, the walks around the area is good, the food was excellent had a great nights sleep
