It is small but lots less busier than the New street station. It is very effective and efficient. It is right at the city centre and quite easier to navigate.nThe staff were very friendly and helpful.nGreat station to visit.
My preferred train station for Birmingham City centre as it's a lot less busier than New Street. Very clean and well maintained for a City Centre transport hub, and not too far to walk to New Street it you really need to. I'm probably also fond of it personally because I can get there direct in 6-8 minutes from my local train station.
The station may be compact, but its smaller size means it's refreshingly less crowded compared to the bustling New Street station. Despite its size, it operates with remarkable effectiveness and efficiency. Situated conveniently in the heart of the city, navigation is a breeze. The staff members are notably friendly and incredibly helpful, adding to the positive experience. Overall, it's a fantastic station to visit.
Some of the staff aren't very helpful when it comes to paying for train tickets at the station. They insist on you using the ticket machines which are not straightforward to use and out of 3 or 4 cashier desks for buying tickets they only have one open at any one time, even at busy times and when commuters are in a rush. Last time I needed to buy a ticket the staff wouldn't accept cash because they apparantly had no change to give, they tried to fob me off and make me use the machine and when I made a fuss they eventually helped me but I nearly missed my train. They also sent me to the wrong platform for my train. Appalling communication and service from the staff. They need to be more flexible with payment options especially when their technology is not simple to use.

And folk's who still ain't too sure what they is ! ??nBIRMINGHAM SNOW HILL STATION !nBirmingham Snow Hill Railway station is thee ideal place for catching trains. You won't need to bring an enormous net, no that would be friggin' stupid. If you stand on the platform, or sit if you're tired, or those new shoes are rubbing, trains stop so you can get on. Result.nIf you happen to miss one please don't chase it because trains are much faster runners than us ! Which is totally incredible, considering trains don't wear trainers or have a motorbike ! Sometimes train's are cancelled or delayed due to lots of different reasons. A shortage of train crew, engineering works, an incident on the line, or the train and driver went to registration, Double English and Computers, and then decided to wag it bunk off, play hooky, play truwent and go down the park.nThis can very frustrating for all concerned. Especially if West Midlands Railway's find out and send the train and it's driver home with a letter telling their Mum's and Dad what they've been up to ! nRemember diesel locomotives can get fed up too which to my mind, is completely understandable. Would you like loads and lots of loads of ladies, and blokes sitting inside you some with can's of pop or a Cornish pasty and travel miles and miles. No, I thought not. Oh, you wouldn't mind, someone at the back reckons ! ? Well next time it's a Ban koli day have a go at it. Train's have a very hard job ! !!
