Extremely disappointed by the gait-analysis service provided at Birmingham Runner. When I visited there was a real lack of trainers on offer. After having my gait-analysis I was only then showed one pair of trainers which they didn’t let me try on. I have since visited Runners Needs where I was met with a great quality service as well as a variety of different trainers offered to me.
Fantastic shop. Friendly and helpful. Gave great advice. Highly recommend the gait analysis service. As a new runner, I didn't feel judged or spoken down to. The guy listened and helped me make the right choice of shoes without trying to upsell. I'll always get running shoes from here, from now on.
Great little store. Very helpful and friendly towards a complete novice runner with very limited understanding on different running shoes. Honest opinions, no pushy sales for more expensive shoes in fact, talked me down from a more expensive, but arguably less suitable shoe. The shoes I got have been brilliant too, really comfortable and reduced all of my previous issues such as Shin splints, which in itself is probably the best endorsement I can give!
I think our assistant was called Laura or Lara and she was so pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A mention for the young lady on the counter also. Whole experience was really good. All that's left now is to start running

Hi gents, just wanted to say a massive thank you for looking after me and helping me get the best gear to start my running routine! The shoes felt great and made a huge difference to reducing the joint pains I was previously experiencing! Will be coming again!
The guys are super friendly, know exactly what their talking about give you different options and we’re extremely helpful, make a difference when you talk to people that actively play sport and run , can’t be more apply thank you guys
Really helpful young girl working in the store. Helped fit me and my friend for running shoes, we have no experience with fittings and no knowledge of what we really needed and she was amazing at finding us both the perfect pair of trainers. Couldn’t recommend enough! Great selection of shoes and amazing service!
Shame they prey on customers by not offering refunds and pushing sales without highlighting such policy, would be nice to support a local shop these days but they make it hard to do so with limited stock and selfish business practices
The staff and friendly and knowledgeable. They offer gait assessments which is extremely helpful if you are just starting to run. The onsite parking makes visiting fairly convenient. The price I paid for my shoes was the same price other shops were advertising online. Overall Im very happy with my experiences here and will be back in the future.
