Great site, took my grandson, it was cold today but had a great wander and checked out the tower, I'd have loved to see the clock running but still.looks impressive we had a good time well.done to the curators.

What a beautiful and enchanting place to visit. We stumbled across it by accident and decided to take a look around. We were met by one of the most enthusiastic tour guides who explained so much about the place and delved into its history. The view from the tower is outstanding. Right across Liverpool. Well worth a visit.

Excellent visit to the priory. It's free to visit and there is a free tour of the site which we went on. Frank the tour guide was fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I've visited this priory many times. The view from the top of the tower is excellent over the Mersey and Cammell Lairds. There is a small exhibition showing the history of the priory. Cant believe we haven't been here before - had no idea it existed until a couple of weeks ago. Touched lucky as we were the only visitors so we got to have the lovely tour guide all to ourselves. Was far too cold to spend as long as we wanted there but will be back for a second look soon. If you are visiting check the times of the tours. Oh and its all free and dog friendly.
What an amazing adventure to see Birkenhead Priory. Have been meaning to visit for ages and so glad we finally did! Our tour guide Angela and team were amazing and very knowledgeable giving a great overview of the Priory and what life would have been like.
