Great experience! Took my partner to feed the penguins. Went on for 40 minutes, really impressed. Great price for the experience and the rest of the park was also brilliant. Beautiful and very well looked after. Can't complain!! Also very informative. Dog friendly but please loom for the no dog zones and some people ignored them and stressed a few owls out. The playground looked great so good trip if you have children. Also have a dinosaur activity for them and if completed they receive a badge.
Visited as three adult couples and three children aged 5-10. Lovely half day out, although could be stretched to a full day with kids. It was very well maintained, amazing selection of birds. Dinosaurs were also well done and a nice forest walk. Excellent kids playground. Cafe very small and basic but adequate and good service. There were queues for women's toilets though as there aren't many at all and you did have to pay for parking separate as the car park does not belong to the zoo, but that's very minor negatives. On the whole a must visit for any bird lovers. Playground: Large, great play equipment, benches to sit on, clean. Restrooms: Not enough ladies. Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on lead.
Stunning park with a great variety of birds, the enclosures are really well kept and the park is clean. Lots of informative posters around too. We arrived not long after it opened for the day, we stayed for 3 hours and it was very quiet; it was a cold day and none of the keeper talks happened, the cafe wasn't open for lunch either so would recommend planning a trip on guaranteed warm weather to properly enjoy, especially if taking the family! Despite that, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, a lovely day out
Spent about 4 hours looking at all the different birds and exploring the dinosaur trail which the kids enjoyed solving the puzzle sheet. The penguin feeding is a highlight and learnt some interesting facts. Would have been better if the keeper had a microphone so that he could be heard more easily above the audience chatter. Was reasonably priced for what you 'get'. If visiting, note the information on the website about parking. Public car park is virtually next door but very busy and about £6 for up to 5 hrs. Very quaint and beautiful village a couple of minutes walk.
We were there in a group of nine I did visit before the village but didn't go into Birdland. Lovely place for a family day out, located in the lovely village Burton on the Water. The most attractive for us was the penguins which are very cute and very friendly. It has a nice collection of exotic birds, flamingos, and even emperor penguins. There is a dinosaur walk and playground for children, as well as some snacks and, of course, a gift shop. It's something I'd recommend to anyone! Would definitely worth the visit to Birdland and jurassic Park.
Brilliant day out here seeing a vast collection of unusual birds spread out over a large area to explore, with the River Windrush passing through the grounds creating a lovely natural environment. With great information displays alongside the sets of birds there was much to learn and discover. Perfect for all ages to enjoy and a highly recommended attraction.
We were in Bourton-on-the-water on a scorching hot September day in 2021 and decided to visit Birdland to escape the sun. It turned out to be a really interesting place with an amazing variety of birds, that all looked incredibly colourful in the bright sunshine. The Jurassic Journey and it's dinosaurs was also great fun. Well worth a visit.
What a brilliant place. Exceeded my expectations by a long shot! Amazing & beautiful birds - flamingos, owls, emus, and my personal favourite the penguins. Our guide did some talks as well which I would thoroughly recommend. He was funny & informative & obviously has a deep love & knowledge of his profession. My favourite place in the whole area.
First time visit to Birdland Park & Gardens. Parking was very convenient and next to the attraction. The family really enjoyed the day out and looking at all the different species of birds. The penguins were definitely a highlight and I particularly enjoyed the noisy parrots. There was also a dinosaur trail which kept the kids interested, looking for clues to solve a puzzle. We spent a little over 2 hours there and thought it was good value for money.
If you love birds then of course you are going to enjoy a visit. So many highlights : emperor penguins ,pink backed pelicans, snowy owl, great crested crane , flamingoes to name a few . If you have dinosaur fanatics in the house then they will enjoy walking in the Jurassic kingdom. Photos are a must in here! There are two or three sets of toilets . The cafe won't excite you very much but you can get specialty coffees and some hot food. The cakes were unappealing. You can sit watching parrots or by the river with the ducks .It is however quieter than in the village and you will be served quickly . It's not easy finding your way around at times. A long route round to get close to the pelicans! There was a talk around the penguin enclosure as they were fed. Sorry to see the small area for these beautiful birds. These penguins don't dance happily! Quite expensive for families so if you go allow enough time to enjoy it fully, about 2 hours A souvenir shop as you leave would add to the cost if you are easily persuaded to buy a cuddly dinosaur penguin or flamingo .
