Stayed for a weekend visiting Family.nRooms are great, pub has a great atmosphere and host Lynn hard working and very welcoming.nSuperb Breakfast.
Absolutely loved our visit rooms were warm and cozy lovely staff and a ideal location on the canal
Moored just up from the pub. Parked car in car park overnight after asking permission from barman. Out of courtesy saw landlady the following day to see if we could keep car there for a few days as we would be drinking in there for the next week and was met with a very hostile response. It's simple. Just tell your staff to say no and stick a sign on the car park saying no overnight parking. I have no issue with not parking there. Just a simple courteous no would have been enough. The result is they will lose our trade for the week. No food available.nDon't try to get there by Google maps as it will send you down a blocked road. I tried to tell her this as it must affect trade, but she didn't want to know.
Very disappointed. Looks great from the outside, very dated on the inside. Sticky tables . Menu is extremely limited and seems from 1970s chicken in a basket??? About 4 TVs on, showing different sports but far too loud. Could be an absolute goldmine given it's location but definitely needs to up it's game. Shan't bother again.
No rooms, but an excellent canal side location.
