Great range of local ales and some excellent guest beers. Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly local people. Beer garden is pretty big and nice sun trap in summer months.

Lovely traditional "proper" pub. Been our friendly local for years. It's not a place for kids but lots of people prefer it that way. It does welcome dogs _ great after a Sunday stroll. There are plenty of other places nearby which welcome kids but not dogs. So everyone should be satisfied! (Children can sit outside on a covered terrace. )

Great local pub , good selection of ales friendly staff. As to the negative reviews on here as regards children , pubs generally are not for children take them to a chilly kidz or to the local park . Don't take them to a pub to amuse themselves whilst your drinking away unaware at what there doing .
