I recently visited Birchwood Motor centre and had an outstanding experience. Luke, in particular, provided top-notch service from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, answering all my questions without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. Luke made the car-buying process smooth and stress-free, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring I found the perfect vehicle to suit my needs,The dealership had a great selection of cars, and the entire team was welcoming and professional. They handled everything efficiently, from the test drive to the paperwork. I left feeling confident in my purchase and very satisfied with the overall experience. If you’re looking for a trustworthy dealership with great customer service, I highly recommend Birchwood motors and be sure to ask for Luke!
I reserved a car but then had to cancel due to a change of heart. Birchwood refunded me with no quibbles & were very understanding. Really appreciate that - not all dealers are like this. So highly recommended. Thank you specifically to Mitchell for your great customer service even though I didn't end up as a customer.
I had a great experience with Birchwood Motor centre. I was referred by a friend to go and see Jamie because of his good service. Truly speaking Jamie is brilliant. I went there with intention to compare prices with other garages but came back with a car of my choice. Jamie is very professional, helpful, patient and kind. I recommend my family & friends to go at Birchwood and will not regret.
I have recently purchased a car from Birchwood motors and I couldn’t be more happier with the service. Luke went above and beyond to meet my needs and still answers any queries I have to date! I want to thank Luke for all the help he gave me, nothing was and still isn’t too much for him when it comes to advice or support your needing. I also want to thank all the staff I met in the process for their kind warm welcoming atmosphere they bring to their work place! It makes purchasing a car a lot more joyful when you are dealing with such a lovely sales team. Thank you all at Birchwood Motors I absolutely love my new car!
It all started out okay, staff were friendly, lovely promises were made and that's about it. Admittedly I rushed into the purchase and should've done a more thorough check! I've had nothing but issues since buying the car, I've emailed multiple times and it's gone back 3 times and still no help, saying their own site mechanic can't find any problems after they sorted a wheel re-alignment issue and a battery issue. Almost had an accident last week due to a mechanical glitch and was ignored when I emailed. 4 different branded tyres, dents, re-sprays and chips on the car, when I finally noticed I was told I should've mentioned it before purchase. Nothing but issues with the car. I've only owned it a little over 4 weeks and maybe driven it barely a week in total since then. Car is now sat on the drive as it doesn't seem safe to use and all Birchwood can say is bring it back in... Again... Waste of an almost 8K.
Went and visited the site and was thoroughly disappointed with how poor the service was and the cars on show. We were told a car we were interested in, which was still listed and had a price still on, was sold and then we were directed to the other cars which were over double the price. The lack of personal attention while looking round was very plain to see, and we were given the impression that they couldn’t be bothered, or that they did not want to deal with us. I would highly recommend avoiding this place, and after reading other reviews I would avoid them for poor business practices after purchase.
Initially great, then descended into misdirection, deceit and immense personal cost. If you’re lucky enough to get a car that does not encounter problems, great. If you do, be prepared for a barrage of improper practice, misleading information and attempts to corner you. My Mini encountered issues within 2 months of purchase. No problem I thought, my car isn’t drivable but the dealership will be able to help me with this no qualms. I won’t list the long collection of ways the dealership tried to avoid ownership of the issue but as a heads up and explainer, all issues that occur after 30 days of sale and within six months are assumed to be present at the point of sale under the consumer rights act. Ignore any attempts to place blame on you and tie it to a warranty. After weeks of back and forth I finally agreed to personally, under the consumer rights act this is the seller’s responsibility cover the cost of delivery to a garage of their choosing to repair the car. Fine, not ideal, but fine. I call the garage and they advise me the car is ready to pick up but Birchwood have gone back on their promise to pay. They ask me to pay. No call from Birchwood to myself before this, no opportunity to discuss the reasons in good faith, no nothing. I think that says all there is to say. Now I have a hefty bill in my name at a garage an hour away from me that I had no personal interest in sending my car to. I felt the need to share this to warn potential buyers - I rarely leave reviews. Familiarise yourself with the Consumer Rights Act look specifically online for sections relating to used cars. The process remains ongoing but I can say with confidence this is the most disappointed I’ve ever been with a business and the way they have chosen to conduct themselves. I have sought legal advice and will be proceeding either down that route or through the financial ombudsman unless anything changes. This is not something anyone WANTS to do. And the entire time I have no car. Be extremely wary of interacting in any form with this business. EDIT: As I’ve received a reply, which I am grateful for as it’s not always the case. It would have been nice if you had been as proactive in reaching out to me to let me know that you were refusing to pay the costs of repairs. Again, I’ll allow others to draw their own conclusions on that. The timeline of events you’ve outlined are extremely selective sadly, and reflect your general approach to the matter. Your use of the term warranty is misleading, you are subject to the Consumer Rights Act. You can advertise and respond in any way you wish but that is the fact of the matter. A fault with the car however you wish to describe it is assumed to be present at the point of sale within the first 6 months. You have not provided any evidence that a surge to the battery was the definitive cause. The third party garage which I had to pay for transportation to as you refused to deal with the garage I initially took it to said it may have been the cause. The RAC and independent garage I initially took it to disagree. May is not good enough in court. I am saddened by your response, but ultimately not surprised. I remain open and committed to resolving the issue amicably, yet I get a reply to my Google review but no call following multiple promises of a call back. I emphasise that point as I am approaching this in good faith, I believe my review reflects a fair account of events and one I am entitled to share. If you really did believe in customer service you’d pick up the phone, not respond to a Google review to attempt to protect your reputation.
I recently purchased a BMW X1, and wanted to share my experience. From start to finish the process was seamless, and handled professionally by Dean. I am over the moon with my new car, and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Dean!
