The patio behind the restaurant is nice in the summer, with a good cocktail list and daily drink specials, but I wasn’t impressed with the food we ordered. We had the cauliflower bites and Thai chicken appetizers. The cauliflower wasn’t crispy and lacked flavour. The Thai chicken was more like chicken fingers cut into strips with a Thai sauce drizzled over. The food looked really good, but otherwise felt like I could have made something similar at home.
Service was on point, along with the dishes. I had tried the new mussel dish and it was phenomenal. Great private patio with cute little lights to be seen during later hours. Highly recommend.
Quaint, cozy and totally charming. Simply put, I loved this place. And, the hot apple cider was 100% fab!
It’s hard to be very positive about this place. Nobody in our party enjoyed their meal aside from good appetizers and our designated driver was charged $7 for a coke and a refill. We also had a mystery $3 charge on the bill that I’m guessing was for side ranch/mayo? We aren’t sure but it seemed likely that the ‘fish tacos’ one of us ordered were just store bought fish sticks in taco shells.
The service and food here was excellent! They had a Live band playing that really added to the atmosphere. It is a smaller place to hang out at, great for a date night or small group of friends - it had a cozy intimate vibe that was really nice. Our waiter was super friendly, attentive when needed, and knew how to read the room. Our table ordered these tasty vegetable Samosas that I wish were a little bigger in size for the cost. Also ordered Garlic Parm & Cajan Wings with fries - good size wings and flavours were delicious! Would definitely go back. Vegetarian options: Not much variety but there was vegan Pizza, Burger, Fish and Salad
Planned an evening out with a group of friends and had reservations for 8 on a Saturday evening. We got seated and after 15 min of sitting and waiting we where served water, after waiting 45min a server came to our table and took our drink order, but refused to take our food orders. We waited another 10 min and watched our server cash out other tables as no one made our drinks. At this point we decided to leave, upon asking our server to cancel our drink order as we where leaving, she began to be rude. Will not be returning, and cant say wether the food is good or not.
Had my birthday lunch here, was great food and the waitress Diana was awesome! Will be coming again thanks!!
Garbage. Service very slow, waitress might of been high on valium. Took an hour to get rotten mussels. Steak was barely warm, sides were cold and the gravy had congealed. Also had a delux ceaser bloody pound of horseradish in it terrible. Then basically froze to death sitting in the booth. All in all we'll never go back or recommend.
5 of us had dinner there for my daughters birthday. Ordered 3 appetizers two of which were quite good, the crab cakes and the Buffalo chicken dip. The third, the Tater Kegs were a disappointment to all but one who tried them. Three out of the 5 entrees, were inedible. The two burger meals seemed to be nothing more than tasteless frozen patties dressed up to look like $20.00 burgers. The lobster poutine was a mushy mess that ended up being left on the plate. The lobster was so overcooked it took on an absolutely rubbery texture and a taste of fish which became overwhelming. With soooo many choices for dining out in the Durham region this restaurant is doomed with this kind of owner neglect. It appears the only way this restaurant will survive is an emergency call to “Restaurant Impossible “.
The atmosphere of this establishment is cozy and pleasant. Staff here were helpful and friendly. Price is expected for the establishment type and neighbourhood. The food was okay, but nothing special. I was here with my wife on the weekend and we ordered a pasta dish as well as one of the mains. Both were filling, but rather bland. The appetizer and soup was tasty so perhaps we ordered the wrong items but overall the restaurant and atmosphere made up for our experience.
