I cannot recommend Bindmans enough! They helped me and my husband with our spouse visa and they were so helpful from start to finish! They answered all our questions and they did all the heavy lifting when it came to our application. With their help and expertise my husband got his visa within a month after applying!
Liz Barratt is a Partner in an exceptional firm of solicitors. She has assisted me a South African citizen in a complex immigration issue with consummate skill and a deep knowledge of the applicable legal requirements. She was able to secure Leave to Enter the UK under the 5-year Partner route for me in less than 6 weeks, after I had spent 10 months pursuing my own unsuccessful Family Visa application. I am now on my way to British citizenship, with my husband of 35 years, and we will be able to live together in the land of his birth. Liz is our hero to whom we will be eternally grateful.
Would you like to have a solicitor refuse to answer a basic yes or no question about a technical step of the asylum process so that he can charge you for the additional hours it takes for him to write a letter and finally answer that simple question? No? Then I recommend turning elsewhere. I paid for an hour long consultation with Vincent Palfi and he refused to answer a question about whether or not appealing an asylum decision would harm future applications through other routes. His only answer was a stiff silence and/or to dodge the question. He did not indicate this was because he needed to research the inquiry, nor frankly was this inquiry particularly nuanced or difficult. He did finally answer the question in his letter, but charged me additional hours to do so. I feel taken advantage of and now keenly understand why so many people default to disliking solicitors. If you are seeking to remain in the UK or are seeking asylum in the UK I strongly recommend starting your research at the Right To Remain website. They offer practical advice and social support, which greatly reduces the need to rely on expensive solicitors and empowers you to file your own paperwork. Paying for a consultation can still be a good idea but again I do not recommend Bindmans LLP for that purpose. Best of luck and well wishes for anyone taking on this daunting process.
Liz is phenomenal so meticulous and she made the traumatic processes very smooth for us. The applications were mind blowing and complicated and we would never have been able to get our visa through. Liz is lovely, straight forward and a delight to have teams meetings with. She is very inclusive non judgemental and totally professional. We have had two successful visa applications through Liz and our last one looks pretty straight forward now too as we have all necessary paperwork in place. Bindmans are an excellent firm, costs are appropriate and processes straight forward. We would have no hesitation to recommend. 10/10 and definitely 5* from us. Thank you Liz and team
Highly recommended if you need an immigration lawyer. I've worked with them twice now on fairly complex family visa applications, and the Bindmans team was very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. I'd definitely use them again.
