Really really friendly staff. So welcoming and had a great chat with them. Hospitality at its best. The ambience of the restaurant was amazing with mild music. Crunchy and hot falafels. Best joint for vegans and vegetarians. Soup of the day was 'carrot and lentil' - delicious. Wraps were so filling and economical too. Worthy of visiting often. Vegetarian options: Most of the food items are vegetarian or vegan
The owners were nice and welcoming. You can feel the passion in what they’re doing. I enjoyed a decent falafel and Aubergine wrap. Then had a pot of Palestinian tea with basbousa. Would love to try the Egyptian breakfast in my next visit.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Dog friendly too.. they allowed lola to sit on sofa on a mat as she is recovering from surgery. Would definitely return. Re prev comments about speed of service.. Freshly prepared food always worth waiting for.
Most delicious aubergines and Egyptian falafels I've ever had. Also the Iraqi tea with cardamom is delicate and refreshing. Service was exceptional, very genuine and friendly people.Food: 5/5
Comfortable and very friendly cafe. Food delicious and well presented. Nice coffee, the best baklava and other sweet treats. Staff so helpful.
Amazing Egyptian food. The falafels are delicious, also the baba ganoush and the baclavas!
Second time here, food superb and a warm welcome on both occasions. Had the full Egyptian vegan breakfast. Will keep coming back. Thank you!Recommended dishes
I can’t recommend this place enough. Delicious, authentic and hearty Egyptian food, and extremely generous and welcoming owners, you can feel the passion and love they put in the place and in their food. It’s more than just a cafe to have a good meal, it really feels like home and sitting with family. By far the best place to hang out in Glasgow. Can’t thank the owners for everything because it truly isn’t a matter of just yummy food, it’s more than that. Thank you Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options
Delicious and authentic Egyptian food! The basbousa was so good and authentic. I tried hawawshy and dynamite and both were very good. My non Egyptian friends also enjoyed the place so much. The Palestinian and Iraqi teas are amazing. Also very friendly staff.
A gem in the west end! Amazing authentic Egyptian street food, reasonable prices and excellent service. We tried a variety of dishes and it was all delicious! Would recommend their falafel, Hawawshy, baba ghanoush, aubergine and hummus! We also enjoyed an Egyptian tea with mint. There is a great range of sweets and cakes too. The owner and team are all absolutely lovely people, very welcoming and passionate about their culture and authentic food. We look forward to coming back!
