Went here with my two 4 year old kiddies last week. Was greeted at the front desk by a welcoming young girl. My little Timmy, has a rather severe gluten allergy, which the young girl, Maddie I believe her name is as I overheard a co-worker say, was extremely accommodating and helped to make sure his lunchbox was free of all gluten. Thank you maddie- she deserves to be recognised as a strong part of the team. Will be coming back with the twins soon.
First time visit, nice range of activities and high scale framework with lots to keep kids active and happy. As with any soft play area, cleaning around the area needs focus and not all equipment was in working order, ball pool vacuum being apparent. Otherwise good value for money, where you can play for hours and you are not restricted to times. Food was good and service was friendly and interactive with children. A quiet weekday visit and my child enjoyed it!
Rhyme time and soft play rolled into one. At first I thought we stumbled into a private birthday party only to find out there is an entertainer along with soft play. Not sure if its once a week or always, either way it was an excellent afternoon. Our toddler immediatly joined in and afterward went to the soft play area. Food is available and tables perfectly placed to allow grown ups to supervise from a safe distance. The place is huge and the slot was long. This was a magical accidental find whilst waiting in Canterbury. Despite not being local, we most likely will come back. One major issue was getting back on not-so-reliable public transport. If you are brave enough to rely on the bus, bring a buggy and bags of patience because it could be a long wait. I noticed that 99% of the people drove and would advice so too.
We celebrated my son's 6 year old birthday. I cannot express how happy I was with the team at u1r Canterbury... they went above and beyond my expectations. Extremely fair price. My only tip is to send them emails, don't phone. They respond to emails quickly.
We used U1R Canterbury for our 7 year old sons birthday party, the team were really helpful and friendly. My score would be a 5 star apart from a mix up on our booking, but the team responded quickly to make sure our son had a fantastic time.
Such a shame because this place has great potential, the place itself is great but the running of it is super poor. The worst thing about it is the lack of policing the toddler area, which although clearly labelled as under 3s only, was full of school age children up to 10 years old when we visited. My baby got kicked in the head, pushed from the equipment and had a much older child snatch a toy from him so hard it hit him in the face. The fact this section is completely unmanned is unforgivable for me, that alone would stop us visiting again. But the general vibe of the place was also very stressful and overly loud, the music choice and volume makes it feel like a nightclub and even when you want to leave you have to wait for a member of staff to appear to let you out. There never seems to be anyone on the desk. All in all a really stressful experience that left my baby incredibly upset, we won't be going again.
Over this Easter break I have not been my most organised- I have had to swap sessions and even swap venues from ramsgate to Canterbury!! Under1roof were FANTASTIC! So kind and accommodating!! They wanted to do anything to help and I SO appreciate it. Great customer service!! Kristin x
Attention to detail was amazing, welcoming staff, Food was just what the kids wanted, even for the fussy ones. Everything was thought of so zero party organising stress. Coffee was also on point.
Wasn't impressed at all . Turned up to a 2 hour event we ordered food which came out cold and some dishes had to chase as didn't come out ,so went up to reorder some and I was refused to order food with there still being an hour last of the event so kids went hungry. Was messy and unorganized. Event was slap dash , Sent an email hoping for a response or apology and no one got back to me.
Hands down a great experience everytime. I meet up there with my sister and spend hours and hours with my nieces making memories. Great food menu and hot drinks with a range of hot chocolates now the cold weather has arrived I like to go in the week when it's quieter. Keep up the good work people!
