FYI, a sign on the inside of an automatic door will not be seen because the door opens when approached. Today, myself, along with four other people, turned up to an abandoned urgent care facility. There were no staff to be seen at all. When we called 111, they confirmed that the practice should have been open from 6 pm to 11 pm. They were shocked to hear that there were no members of staff at the treatment center they were actively advising patients to attend. Finally, a nurse from another ward, who was not from the urgent care, informed us that the urgent care was closed, as was sometimes the case due to a lack of staff to man it. I was on the phone with 111, who could only triage us over the phone in the hope of getting us an appointment elsewhere or at the nearest A&E, which was 17 miles away. My advice to the person in charge of scheduling: If you do not have the staff available to facilitate your advertised opening hours, please consider adjusting those hours to avoid inconveniencing patients who are in need of care. This adjustment would prevent patients from wasting their time and efforts in seeking treatment when it's not available.
Brilliant parking, straight in and a lift to xray dept and never more than a 5 minute wait, i choose this hospital when i am able. The attitude of the staff is excellent.
This is a community hospital with other services provided in site for outpatients. Upstairs there is a lift there is x-Ray, scans,, physios. Downstairs there is a large ward for those requiring additional rehab or less acute management. Outpatient clinics are also held here. The staff are generally caring and compassionate. There is a large free parking area.
Very nice place. Physio Emily Whall was helpful and saw me right on the booked time. Many questions and a very supportive report.
So grateful for the NHS - referred by 111 to Bicester Community Hospital on Sun 5th November. Excellent and thorough care at the facility and all Drs and nurses on duty were really helpful - a big thank you from my husband and I as we were only visiting the area on holiday
Today I had ultra Sound on my Kidneys and under carriage and to be fair I wasn’t looking forward to it, however Vicky and Cynthia were fantastic, very friendly and professional. The Hospital was clean and modern and with free car parking made this appointment a pleasant experience, thank you
I dislocated my shoulder in the night and walked in without an appointment. They completed the first aid with painkillers and put on a shoulder brace. Then they booked an Xray at the nearest trauma centre where the shoulder was put back. All done within 2 hours. Without this centre, we would have gone to an A&E and I would have had to wait longer to be attended.
Called 111 for my 14 month old daughter who appeared to have an ear infection only just moved so we are not registered with a GP yet. They arranged an appointment for us. We did end up waiting 45 after our appointment time to be seen, but once in, everyone was very friendly, especially the lady who attended to us. She even gave my daughter a little teddy bear for being a good girl! Very happy with the service.
After contacting 111 they made me an appointment at the hospital. Although I did have to wait a while, when I was seen the nurse, Lucy was very friendly and professional. She did comment that I should have come in sooner but that was the appointment time I was given by 111. She dressed my wound, gave me meds and referred me to the JR and called me later that evening to let me know they would be contacting me directly the following day. Yes there was a wait but it was out of hours and they were thorough and friendly, and didn't rush me through so probably compounded the wait time after me. Just think if there is a delay, if your being seen would you want them to rush to reduce the waiting times for others or look after you as you would expect? I know what I prefer.
Amazing service we had today by everyone here. Took my Grandma to check out her injured wrist. We were seen within 15 mins by a really lovely and helpful nurse.
